Totally agree with your post @justmydorkiness :)… Taylor’s attempt at dancing/singing with Stevie Nicks was an epic fail. Congrats to the girl for her success, but really there are so many more talented artists out there that don’t even get a mention. I think it’s a shame that the same people seem to get all the nominations, whilst really talented musicians struggle to even get their records released. But I guess that’s the way the business operates.
I really hope that Demi gets some time off to write an amazing album. I really want to hear “For the love of a daughter” and would love if Demi performed at an awards show next year. She has so much natural talent and is actually someone that can perform live. I’ve no doubt that Demi is the one to watch in the long run and that she will continue to mature as an amazing artist who will impress others as soon as she sings live in front of them.
And love that Joe and Demi have both been rocking similar glasses, those two have such similar taste in things it’s no wonder that they love shopping together. Demi would definitely approve of Grammy Joe (and love the idea of her and Denise helping Joe pick his outfit)! 😀

It’s not just you. I noticed that also. The only picture of Demi at nicks concert was the one that @yaboyro tweeted of him and demi. That’s the only picture from the concert. I was curious about that also. Like all the other concerts Joe is hanging out with his other friends like Chelsea, Lisa Veronica, etc. But when demi comes to one, he’s on the side of the stage the whole time instead of in the audience with chelsea, nicole, anna maria, shorty, etc. Both Demi and him are no where in site, until someone looks to the side of the stage and spots her. I think that maybe Joe went to pick Demi up and came in the back way of the concert. Or they were all hanging out back stage. But to me, I would think that they would want to hang out with the people from the movie and chelsea and nicole. Hmmmmm…. Guess we’ll never know. To me, them hanging out on the side of the stage or hiding in the back, tells me that something may be changing between them for the better. 😀 Just my crazy jeminess mind reeling again. 😀

The Music Industry made a smart move when they decided hiring people with the looks and the marketability instead of talent. With computers, even the worst singers sound amazing on their CD. Its all about targeting the teenagers.
For example, do you see John Mayer making as much money as Taylor? Yes, John is a very amazing musician whom i idol, he has recieved many awards and is well-known by many people. But how many teenaged girls do you know that go to his concerts screaming!? NONE (well besides me and few other people.) He makes REAL music. Music that has SOUL, PASSION and a REAL MEANING. But his music is rock/blues, nothing that teenagers would like. The music industry has poisioned our minds with pop and techno. Not that pop and techno are bad, but when was the last time you heard Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, or another musical genius on your favorite radio station?
People think Taylor Swift is amazing for a number of reasons. Her songs capture the right audience. The people that go over obsessive. She has the market face ( i honsetly think she’s disgusting but thats just my opinion). She knows how to take advantage of whats around her. For example, joe and kanye. She could have left her breakup with joe alone, but NOOO she had to go make a fuss about it and act all innocent. To me, Taylor is as fake as they get.
People also think that because she writes her own songs she’s amazing. Uh, no. First of all, she gets lots of help. Second ofa ll, many other people write their own music, and its ACTUALLY GOOD. Demi, for example.
The thing that pisses me off the most about Taylor is that EVERY.SONG.IS.THE.SAME . Either you get “fairytale romance,” “omgg i love you be with me” “omg i hate you you suck” or something around those lines. When has she written about something for the world? The environment? Life? INsecurities. Not that i know of. John Mayer and Demi and many others write about things like that.
Have any of you noticed that all her songs have the same tune? I play guitar and I know for a fact that Taylor only uses the same five/six chords in every song. What happened to diversity? Taylor is making millions by just taking one song, recycling the lyrics and moving around the chord order. Thats just sad.
From a vocal stand point, I can tell you alot. I study vocals and produce a lot of vocalists. Taylor has a great tone to her voice. Raspy, sweet, with a country flare. Thats something you get born with. From a technical point of view, she is an EPIC FAIL. Her range is PUNY, as you can tell from all her songs she always sings in the same vocal range. She practically belts everything, with no matured head voice. Also, her pitch is really off, as you might have noticed from the Grammy performance. Defniitely not someone i would picture making tons of money.
I am a very passionate musician. I love music, with all my heart. I couldnt live without it. I’m sad that so many people have lost the true beauty of music with people like Taylor Swift, and that the countless amount of AMAZING singers I’ve seen on Youtube dont get the same shot. I hope that within a few years, real talent like Demi and many others will step up and show teenagers what real music is.

I agree with you blarg. I was finally able to watch the Grammy’s and when I turned them on, Taylor was coming on to perform.. OMG!!! How the hell did the grammy committee ever agree to nominate her for so many grammy’s. I mean, her performance was an EPIC EPIC EPIC FAIL! Hardly if not at all. I mean, watching her performance, even Stevie Nicks looked like she wanted to leave the stage. And the applause afterwards was not as loud as some of the other performers. And that is saying something. Like everyone knew that her performance was an epic fail. Her vocal range is Puny like you said. I would soo love to see her perform like an Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion song… Actually I take that back, no I would not like to see Taylor perform a song by those artists, cause she would totally ruin it. there are only so many people that can pull of a song by those artists, the artists themselves, Beyonce, and Demi Lovato.

she’s starting in disney to build her fanbase, to show people what she can do. Unlike Miley and Selena, who have stuck with Disney for many years and stayed in the Disney vibe, Demi has really tried to prove that she is more. With her darker music style and her i-dont-care-what-you-think attitude she has really gotten respect from older people like us. I already see her slowly breaking out of Disney, taking her fans with her. Selena and Miley are stuck in Disney for a while because they didnt try and break out sooner. Look at Shia L., Hillary D. and Raven S, all of them started as Disney stars but didn’t stick around too long and left after a short period of time to pursue bigger dreams.
I think demi is cleverly doing this so that she has a fanbase that will follow her outside of disney. just look at the difference between her first and second albums. Thats a huge jump. I believe that after her next album, once she releases more mature tracks like For the love of a daughter and Shut up and love me, she’ll attract more and more people and eventually break out of disney.

Now I can believe that Joe regrets HOW he broke up with Taylor, like by telephone, but I seriously don’t think that he regrets breaking up with her period.
Joe might be a flirty guy and likes the girls but he seems to be loyal and fair to girls that he dates. He is not making out or scheming to get with another girl while he is dating one girl no matter what people think about the Camilla/Taylor fiasco. The boys were not brought up like that.
Joe had a long time celebrity crush on Camilla, he wasn’t feeling it with Taylor anymore anyway (if he ever did) so he decided to end it (very badly) then he went for his longtime crush.

Joe and Taylor have been over since 2008 no matter what people have been talking about recently.
So that isn’t a concern. I think that they still don’t care for each other even as friends but they are trying to be civil for Selena/Nick and because they travel in the same Hollywood circles.

Completely agree with Demi too and love her saying “I want to be YOUR friend”. How sweet is she!! I know that its pretty old, but can someone tell me what happens in the Prison Break episode with Demi in it because I watched it but dont know exactly what happens. Did her dad die?
She was the daughter of the Motel owner, and Tbone rented a room from her Dad and than Demi was hanging out by the pool. Tbone came over and started to compliment her about how pretty and grownup she looked and then he started rubbing her arm and she freaked out and ran to her dad. Tbone followed her to the room with her dad and then Demi’s dad told her to leave the room while he took care of this. Demi leaves and Tbone kills her dad. Later when Tbone is driving away from the motel Demi is standing by the entrance to the motel. Tbone smiles at her and drives away and Demi drops a bottle she was holding.
i think demi should have been a part of the “we are the world” remake. joe and nick and miley were…she has the best voice so she should have been there
This is what is making me a bit sad… Demi should be at the We are the world recording, just like she should have been at the Hope for Haiti telethon. I know there’s probably other reasons why she couldn’t make it, but I just feel like she is on the outside when she should be center stage.
But at least we have the February performance with Joe coming up. I just hope someone puts it on youtube!! 😀 Demi is so talented and is obviously having a tough time with the fame side of the business. At least we know that she is real and her honesty about all the pressures she feels are going to make her an incredibly sincere songwriter and performer.
I wish I could give her a big hug, or better yet Joe could… perhaps he already has some alone time planned for Valentine’s Day. She really needs to be around some good people. Sometimes it seems like her fans are the only ones she feels she can trust. And for such a sweet person to feel that way makes me hope even more for 2010 to be a very jemi year. 😀

Yeah that is very sarcastic what Chelsea Staub tweeted. Doesn’t sound like someone is that fond of Taylor anymore. When have Chelsea ever said that she loved Taylor? Have she ever hung out with her or is friends with her. Taylor is over rated. They should have stopped giving her all of the awards long time ago.
Chelsea probably replied to someone and said that she loved Taylor because after all they will probably run into each other in the Hollywood scene and people like to at least throw out the “I love You” phrase a lot in Hollywood without knowing or ever meeting the person.

I know I really think Demi and Joe are going to have a great year and can’t wait for all the duets and CR2 to be released.
That’s thing about Joe and Demi, not only are they great people, they’re also truly talented. They both write songs, play instruments, and can perform LIVE and in key. Which apparently is no longer a pre-requisite for some! 😉
People like Taylor might win awards in the short-term, but there is a definite backlash happening (particularly from older people who can’t believe she won album of the year). In the long-term someone like Demi is going to be better off. Her natural talent will make her a favorite of people in the music industry and her peers.
I think that’s the key. You can sell a lot of music, but really to have a long-term career you need to have the talent to back it up and the respect of your peers.
Demi can dance like a pro (something that TS could only dream about) and has the sort of natural charisma no amount of faking can create. When you hear Joe and Demi perform together you can see why the casting agents chose them for Camp Rock. They just have that something extra that nothing in the world can replace.
Anyway end of rant, but it’s just so nice to be able to hear everyone’s opinions and vent a bit. Can’t wait to see what exciting things are going to happen in the future, Demi’s new album, and let’s hope that one of the surprises Demi is talking about involves the words Joe and boyfriend. 😀

I wonder why Demi has been on the down low lately. Not only with twitter but in general. I noticed that since December we have really heard much from her or about her in general othr then her london appearance. I miss seing Demi performing in general.
Perhaps all that Zack Taylor drama has made her come to terms with the situation that there were/still are some people around her who claim to be her friends but would go behind her back and spread rumors so that d-bag can still run that poor excuse of a website. And if we add her feud with Selena, you might say that she isn’t really on her best moment when it comes to friendships. She’s probably really scared of finding out who is betraying her, ’cause let’s face it, it hurts! Also, you can tell the infamous ‘Ask taylor’ video shows her being bitter to that question, which means she still has feelings for her former BFF and might even want to reconcile but the timing isn’t right just yet.
Who knows? Just a theory…
PS: Most of boys usually don’t want to be involved in girls drama and stuff, but I really hope Nick J makes and exception and serves as a bridge to reconnect these two…I couldn’t care less for Selena as an artist, but I do feel deep down she truly cared/cares for Demi and she could really use a longitme friend right now. Completely agree with your post Nebbie. Demi is definitely going through a major time of growth, and like she said she is becoming her own woman. I think it must be painful to feel like you don’t know who to trust, and to have that play out on the public stage.
As for the delena drama, I kept thinking too of Paris and Nicole lol. It took them a little bit of time but eventually they were able to get over what ever happened. I’m not a big fan of Selena, but I think it would be great if Nick J did help them to reconnect. It would be a shame to let that strong of a friendship just end, and even if they’re not best-friends it seems like they’d both feel much better if they werer at least ok with each other again.

I think this relates to what we’ve been talking about. Both her and Joe are obviously making some changes and growing up. Demi has spoken about her self-esteem issues in the past, so I think it’s great that she’s starting to grow into her own skin. And in time will not care what other people think or what some guy who runs a blog says about her.
I think she’s a great model, and I’d much rather someone that admits their vulnerability and fears then someone that pretends to be perfect. Hopefully the more she just accepts herself, the more she’ll have people in her life that also love her for who she is.
The thing I really love about jemi is that I know 100% that Demi and Joe both love each other for exactly who they are. Not because of their public image or fame, but because deep down they truly connect. If it was just on one level I wouldn’t be such a supporter, but it’s because they match on every level that I really do see a bright future for them. They are both changing and growing now, and in the next few years I think they will continue to grow even closer. 😀

Demi is so adorable… Joe better reply back with something sweet too. I’ve still got hopes that something out of the blue can change everything and jemi will come out into the open as bf/gf. If nelena can have the moment I can’t see why in the future jemi can’t too.

There is definitely a possibility that Joe could have been there and snuck out… it would have been a little strange for Demi to just be there alone with a couple and since nelena were having a date Joe seems to have been free for dinner.

Dois dias depois,eles vão pro show do Nick em LA. Ninguém os vê chegar na casa de shows, até q fãs percebem que JEMI estános bastidores. Even though Nick or Joe didn’t reply to Demi tweet doesn’t mean that they didn’t see it and called/text her. If they had more to say they probably didn’t want it on Twitter.
Twitter is only for light stuff.
I am sure that Jemi is alright judging by Demi still being VERY happy and Joe being his usual self without any bad rumor going around about either of them to make them angry at each other.
Demi has hung out before with Miley so no big deal and I am sure that Demi hanging with Nelena, JB parents, Joe and John Taylor for that dinner would have been a BIG NO NO because then the Jemi rumors would start again and Selena/Demi is not on good terms like that yet.
So I don’t see any reason that things would be weird between Joe/Demi/Nick now.
Remember guys Demi/Joe/Nick can talk on the phone or text each other. We don’t see or hear all of their conversation.

I hope that Zack is correct that Demi and Selena is trying to work things out. I also do believe though that Demi hanging with those scene people is and always will be a bad idea. Jemi are so sweet when they want to be! 🙂 I can’t wait for them to spend more time together, and it sounds to me like Joe and Demi are together (or once again they’re psychic and can instantly respond).
I had a thought the other day that everything that has happened will only make Joe and Demi stronger. I think when nelena broke up, the fact that Selena never spoke about it or said anything negative about Nick showed him that he could trust her.
I kind of feel like Joe and Demi were hanging out in Toronto and that when they decided to just leave things as they were when JB went on tour, the fact that Demi was able to still be cool with Joe and JB, reassured Joe that it would be okay if Demi and him became official and in the end didn’t work out. I think that part of what held them back was the thought that their friendship would be over if they ever dated and broke up. But now I feel like they both can see that even if things didn’t work out they’d still find a way to be close.
So I hope this means that jemi are going to keep getting closer and closer. Particularly in the last few days something seems to have changed and Demi is definitely feeling much better.
As for Joe, he is a definite flirt. But it takes someone like Demi who already knows this and is feeling more confident in herself, to date someone like Joe. He’ll always be that way, but we all know that Demi is the one that makes him nervous and that he really wants to impress.

yeah I had my suspicions about Victoria too, but come on. She’s younger than Demi by a year. Don’t know if Rob deleted that tweet because it isn’t there anymore. But on the other hand I love that he replied 17hours ago to someone whose twitter account is called “Jemi”.
Like I said Joe is a flirt and he’s in Hollywood. He is always going to meet attractive girls, probably for the rest of his life. But when it comes down to it there’s a huge difference between flirting and joking with someone, and the kind of sustained chemistry that Joe has with Demi.
That’s the thing for me… that even after spending a lot of time together (working together, touring together, hanging out together) the jemistry is still as strong as ever. With someone like Victoria, Joe can have an initial attraction etc but that’s no where near the level of connection he has with Demi. So I’m not worried.
Both Joe and Demi are growing up, they’re going to change for sure, but at the end of it both Joe and Demi seem to want to find someone they can share the rest of their lives with, have a family in the future and settle down etc etc. And who better to do that with than your best friend.:D

Awesome thank you for posting the quotes Najma… Could Joe and Demi be anymore obvious! Demi is the only one that Joe often responds to like a second after she’s tweets (and even when he’s not being @ replied to). All of this is just further showing that he’s paying more attention to her and going out of his way to talk to her. And all those smiley faces are just reassuring Demi that she’s the one he really cares about.
And I love the idea of all those text messages that we never see. I think that’s part of it too… that after Demi or Joe tweet something really sweet that might initiate a conversation or a text message which I’m sure is 1000 times sweeter than what we get to see on twitter. 😀

I have been thinking that the reason Demi & Joe are both so happy is that JB are now planning to do a world tour and Demi is coming with them – maybe to Australia and Asia where neither of them have really played before, but they have lots of fans. This means lots of Jemi time and doing the thing that they both love the most together. I don’t have any evidence, it just feels like a good plan to me.
My thought on that is that someone like Demi is going to have a long career and that when she finally does have her first breakthrough album and recognition, people will go back and buy her first albums.
Unfortunately for Selena I don’t think she’s going to have a really long career in the music industry, judging from what I’ve already seen and heard (and the depth of her singing/musical abilities). She may sell more copies in the present, but in the future are people going to keep buying her album? I personally don’t think so.
Many of the greatest artists in history weren’t initially the highest sellers. But through people buying their albums over time, they’ve ended up selling more than their initially high-selling peers.
Anyway that’s how I look at it. And I have no doubt in my mind that Demi is going to make a lot of albums and that one day she will get the recognition she deserves. Talent is eternal, hype is only temporary. 🙂

I do remember all those sweet tweets from Miley encouraging Demi, and I agree that she has been a good friend to Demi in the end. I’ve not always been a fan of everything Miley has done, but I do think she’s a loyal friend and someone that seems to have a sweet heart. Reading excerpts from her autobiography and particularly the chapter about Nick, I thought she came across as quite thoughtful and sweet to those she loves.
I remember reading that tweet too about Demi being the most beautiful girl in the world and thinking how lovely that was of Miley to say about her friend. Even after all that stuff with Trace, thankfully Miley told Demi that she’s knows her brother is an idiot. I’m sure it’s been a great help to Demi to know someone else that is often judged harshly and that can help her stay strong. 🙂

Totally agree with your post @justmydorkiness :)… Taylor’s attempt at dancing/singing with Stevie Nicks was an epic fail. Congrats to the girl for her success, but really there are so many more talented artists out there that don’t even get a mention. I think it’s a shame that the same people seem to get all the nominations, whilst really talented musicians struggle to even get their records released. But I guess that’s the way the business operates.
I really hope that Demi gets some time off to write an amazing album. I really want to hear “For the love of a daughter” and would love if Demi performed at an awards show next year. She has so much natural talent and is actually someone that can perform live. I’ve no doubt that Demi is the one to watch in the long run and that she will continue to mature as an amazing artist who will impress others as soon as she sings live in front of them.
And love that Joe and Demi have both been rocking similar glasses, those two have such similar taste in things it’s no wonder that they love shopping together. Demi would definitely approve of Grammy Joe (and love the idea of her and Denise helping Joe pick his outfit)! 😀

Is it me, or did ya’ll think it was strange that Demi was back stage and not visible to the audience at Nick’s conert? I’m guessing that was so that ZT wouldn’t get pics of Demi and Joe and blow things up again. Anyway, if they REALLY are just BFFs, what’s with all of the hiding? It’s not just you. I noticed that also. The only picture of Demi at nicks concert was the one that @yaboyro tweeted of him and demi. That’s the only picture from the concert. I was curious about that also. Like all the other concerts Joe is hanging out with his other friends like Chelsea, Lisa Veronica, etc. But when demi comes to one, he’s on the side of the stage the whole time instead of in the audience with chelsea, nicole, anna maria, shorty, etc. Both Demi and him are no where in site, until someone looks to the side of the stage and spots her. I think that maybe Joe went to pick Demi up and came in the back way of the concert. Or they were all hanging out back stage. But to me, I would think that they would want to hang out with the people from the movie and chelsea and nicole. Hmmmmm…. Guess we’ll never know. To me, them hanging out on the side of the stage or hiding in the back, tells me that something may be changing between them for the better. 😀 Just my crazy jeminess mind reeling again. 😀

I have nothing against her personally, and I dont want to offend anyone.
The Music Industry made a smart move when they decided hiring people with the looks and the marketability instead of talent. With computers, even the worst singers sound amazing on their CD. Its all about targeting the teenagers.
For example, do you see John Mayer making as much money as Taylor? Yes, John is a very amazing musician whom i idol, he has recieved many awards and is well-known by many people. But how many teenaged girls do you know that go to his concerts screaming!? NONE (well besides me and few other people.) He makes REAL music. Music that has SOUL, PASSION and a REAL MEANING. But his music is rock/blues, nothing that teenagers would like. The music industry has poisioned our minds with pop and techno. Not that pop and techno are bad, but when was the last time you heard Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, or another musical genius on your favorite radio station?
People think Taylor Swift is amazing for a number of reasons. Her songs capture the right audience. The people that go over obsessive. She has the market face ( i honsetly think she’s disgusting but thats just my opinion). She knows how to take advantage of whats around her. For example, joe and kanye. She could have left her breakup with joe alone, but NOOO she had to go make a fuss about it and act all innocent. To me, Taylor is as fake as they get.
People also think that because she writes her own songs she’s amazing. Uh, no. First of all, she gets lots of help. Second ofa ll, many other people write their own music, and its ACTUALLY GOOD. Demi, for example.
The thing that pisses me off the most about Taylor is that EVERY.SONG.IS.THE.SAME . Either you get “fairytale romance,” “omgg i love you be with me” “omg i hate you you suck” or something around those lines. When has she written about something for the world? The environment? Life? INsecurities. Not that i know of. John Mayer and Demi and many others write about things like that.
Have any of you noticed that all her songs have the same tune? I play guitar and I know for a fact that Taylor only uses the same five/six chords in every song. What happened to diversity? Taylor is making millions by just taking one song, recycling the lyrics and moving around the chord order. Thats just sad.
From a vocal stand point, I can tell you alot. I study vocals and produce a lot of vocalists. Taylor has a great tone to her voice. Raspy, sweet, with a country flare. Thats something you get born with. From a technical point of view, she is an EPIC FAIL. Her range is PUNY, as you can tell from all her songs she always sings in the same vocal range. She practically belts everything, with no matured head voice. Also, her pitch is really off, as you might have noticed from the Grammy performance. Defniitely not someone i would picture making tons of money.
I am a very passionate musician. I love music, with all my heart. I couldnt live without it. I’m sad that so many people have lost the true beauty of music with people like Taylor Swift, and that the countless amount of AMAZING singers I’ve seen on Youtube dont get the same shot. I hope that within a few years, real talent like Demi and many others will step up and show teenagers what real music is.

I agree with you blarg. I was finally able to watch the Grammy’s and when I turned them on, Taylor was coming on to perform.. OMG!!! How the hell did the grammy committee ever agree to nominate her for so many grammy’s. I mean, her performance was an EPIC EPIC EPIC FAIL! And that is saying something. Like everyone knew that her performance was an epic fail. Her vocal range is Puny like you said. I would soo love to see her perform like an Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion song… Actually I take that back, no I would not like to see Taylor perform a song by those artists, cause she would totally ruin it. there are only so many people that can pull of a song by those artists, the artists themselves, Beyonce, and Demi Lovato.

OMJ!! Cant wait to see the video!! I still find it kind of curious that demi stayed back stage during the concert rather than out in the audience with the rest of her friends and family. Who the heck knows why Joe tweeted that weird comment about Alligators. He is sooo random and weird sometimes. Anyway I agree with anyone who commented on Taylor Swift many winnings and her lack of singing skills and range.
All of her songs are talking about the same things( boys, breaking up , getting together, we are meant to bee etc..) and they have the same sounds basically.
She can write good teenager, love songs but the girl is 20 yrs old. She needs to get out of that mind set and write about something grown up and young adult.
She is still emotionally stuck in high School, I think.

she’s starting in disney to build her fanbase, to show people what she can do. Unlike Miley and Selena, who have stuck with Disney for many years and stayed in the Disney vibe, Demi has really tried to prove that she is more. With her darker music style and her i-dont-care-what-you-think attitude she has really gotten respect from older people like us. I already see her slowly breaking out of Disney, taking her fans with her. Selena and Miley are stuck in Disney for a while because they didnt try and break out sooner. Look at Shia L., Hillary D. and Raven S, all of them started as Disney stars but didn’t stick around too long and left after a short period of time to pursue bigger dreams.
I think demi is cleverly doing this so that she has a fanbase that will follow her outside of disney. just look at the difference between her first and second albums. Thats a huge jump. I believe that after her next album, once she releases more mature tracks like For the love of a daughter and Shut up and love me, she’ll attract more and more people and eventually break out of disney.

Joe might be a flirty guy and likes the girls but he seems to be loyal and fair to girls that he dates. He is not making out or scheming to get with another girl while he is dating one girl no matter what people think about the Camilla/Taylor fiasco. The boys were not brought up like that.
Joe had a long time celebrity crush on Camilla, he wasn’t feeling it with Taylor anymore anyway (if he ever did) so he decided to end it (very badly) then he went for his longtime crush.

So that isn’t a concern. I think that they still don’t care for each other even as friends but they are trying to be civil for Selena/Nick and because they travel in the same Hollywood circles.
It is VERY hard to bounce back from such a disaster of a breakup.

Yeah, it does look like the same bracelet that Joe wears. The ring, after looking more closely at it, does look like there is a flower or something small attached to it. And the one she’s wearing is gold and Joe’s was silver I believe.

Completely agree with Demi too and love her saying “I want to be YOUR friend”. How sweet is she!! She was the daughter of the Motel owner, and Tbone rented a room from her Dad and than Demi was hanging out by the pool. Tbone came over and started to compliment her about how pretty and grownup she looked and then he started rubbing her arm and she freaked out and ran to her dad. Tbone followed her to the room with her dad and then Demi’s dad told her to leave the room while he took care of this. Demi leaves and Tbone kills her dad. Later when Tbone is driving away from the motel Demi is standing by the entrance to the motel. Tbone smiles at her and drives away and Demi drops a bottle she was holding.

Well, THERES the Feb. 11th. one and the rodeo thing in Texas in March.
This is what is making me a bit sad… Demi should be at the We are the world recording, just like she should have been at the Hope for Haiti telethon. I know there’s probably other reasons why she couldn’t make it, but I just feel like she is on the outside when she should be center stage.
But at least we have the February performance with Joe coming up. I just hope someone puts it on youtube!! 😀 Demi is so talented and is obviously having a tough time with the fame side of the business. At least we know that she is real and her honesty about all the pressures she feels are going to make her an incredibly sincere songwriter and performer.
I wish I could give her a big hug, or better yet Joe could… perhaps he already has some alone time planned for Valentine’s Day. She really needs to be around some good people. Sometimes it seems like her fans are the only ones she feels she can trust. And for such a sweet person to feel that way makes me hope even more for 2010 to be a very jemi year. 😀

Yeah that is very sarcastic what Chelsea Staub tweeted. Doesn’t sound like someone is that fond of Taylor anymore. When have Chelsea ever said that she loved Taylor? Have she ever hung out with her or is friends with her. Taylor is over rated. They should have stopped giving her all of the awards long time ago.

I know I really think Demi and Joe are going to have a great year and can’t wait for all the duets and CR2 to be released.
That’s thing about Joe and Demi, not only are they great people, they’re also truly talented. They both write songs, play instruments, and can perform LIVE and in key. Which apparently is no longer a pre-requisite for some! 😉
People like Taylor might win awards in the short-term, but there is a definite backlash happening (particularly from older people who can’t believe she won album of the year). In the long-term someone like Demi is going to be better off. Her natural talent will make her a favorite of people in the music industry and her peers.
I think that’s the key. You can sell a lot of music, but really to have a long-term career you need to have the talent to back it up and the respect of your peers.
Demi can dance like a pro (something that TS could only dream about) and has the sort of natural charisma no amount of faking can create. When you hear Joe and Demi perform together you can see why the casting agents chose them for Camp Rock. They just have that something extra that nothing in the world can replace.
Anyway end of rant, but it’s just so nice to be able to hear everyone’s opinions and vent a bit. Can’t wait to see what exciting things are going to happen in the future, Demi’s new album, and let’s hope that one of the surprises Demi is talking about involves the words Joe and boyfriend. 😀

I wonder why Demi has been on the down low lately. Not only with twitter but in general. I noticed that since December we have really heard much from her or about her in general othr then her london appearance. I miss seing Demi performing in general.
Perhaps all that Zack Taylor drama has made her come to terms with the situation that there were/still are some people around her who claim to be her friends but would go behind her back and spread rumors so that d-bag can still run that poor excuse of a website. And if we add her feud with Selena, you might say that she isn’t really on her best moment when it comes to friendships. She’s probably really scared of finding out who is betraying her, ’cause let’s face it, it hurts! Also, you can tell the infamous ‘Ask taylor’ video shows her being bitter to that question, which means she still has feelings for her former BFF and might even want to reconcile but the timing isn’t right just yet.
Who knows? Just a theory…
PS: Most of boys usually don’t want to be involved in girls drama and stuff, but I really hope Nick J makes and exception and serves as a bridge to reconnect these two…I couldn’t care less for Selena as an artist, but I do feel deep down she truly cared/cares for Demi and she could really use a longitme friend right now. Geee, if Paris and Nicole reconcile, why not they? Lol
Completely agree with your post Nebbie. Demi is definitely going through a major time of growth, and like she said she is becoming her own woman. I think it must be painful to feel like you don’t know who to trust, and to have that play out on the public stage.
As for the delena drama, I kept thinking too of Paris and Nicole lol. It took them a little bit of time but eventually they were able to get over what ever happened. I’m not a big fan of Selena, but I think it would be great if Nick J did help them to reconnect. It would be a shame to let that strong of a friendship just end, and even if they’re not best-friends it seems like they’d both feel much better if they werer at least ok with each other again.

I think this relates to what we’ve been talking about. Both her and Joe are obviously making some changes and growing up. Demi has spoken about her self-esteem issues in the past, so I think it’s great that she’s starting to grow into her own skin. And in time will not care what other people think or what some guy who runs a blog says about her.
I think she’s a great model, and I’d much rather someone that admits their vulnerability and fears then someone that pretends to be perfect. Hopefully the more she just accepts herself, the more she’ll have people in her life that also love her for who she is.
The thing I really love about jemi is that I know 100% that Demi and Joe both love each other for exactly who they are. Not because of their public image or fame, but because deep down they truly connect. If it was just on one level I wouldn’t be such a supporter, but it’s because they match on every level that I really do see a bright future for them. They are both changing and growing now, and in the next few years I think they will continue to grow even closer. 😀

You know, the fact that Joe and Demi DON’T hangout in public might be seen as just them not trying to have rumors starting but that just means that when they do hang out in public, they WILL have loads of gossip..

Another thing to consider though about Demi and her Disney days: she does have a contract. She has to stay with Disney for as long as the contract says unless Disney doesn’t want her.
Normally, I’m a big fan of Selena but idk….these days it’s just…idk… it’s really hard to explain…. It’s like almost as if things with Selena (for me) have gone in slow motion… idk how else to put it.. I think it’s just cuz of the separation of Demi and her.

Even though Nick or Joe didn’t reply to Demi tweet doesn’t mean that they didn’t see it and called/text her. If they had more to say they probably didn’t want it on Twitter.

I am sure that Jemi is alright judging by Demi still being VERY happy and Joe being his usual self without any bad rumor going around about either of them to make them angry at each other.
Demi has hung out before with Miley so no big deal and I am sure that Demi hanging with Nelena, JB parents, Joe and John Taylor for that dinner would have been a BIG NO NO because then the Jemi rumors would start again and Selena/Demi is not on good terms like that yet.
So I don’t see any reason that things would be weird between Joe/Demi/Nick now.

I hope that Zack is correct that Demi and Selena is trying to work things out. I also do believe though that Demi hanging with those scene people is and always will be a bad idea. They are tooo old in actions/mind/maybe age for her. No matter if she doesn’t do the same things that they do she is still influenced by them to some degree since she is an insecure girl.
I cant wait to finally see a performance between jemi. I think when it comes to Demi’s friends we shouldn’t be quick to judge.Its the same way everyone has judged Demi because she does not look the same when she was 15. Jemi are so sweet when they want to be! 🙂 I can’t wait for them to spend more time together, and it sounds to me like Joe and Demi are together (or once again they’re psychic and can instantly respond).
I had a thought the other day that everything that has happened will only make Joe and Demi stronger. I think when nelena broke up, the fact that Selena never spoke about it or said anything negative about Nick showed him that he could trust her.
I kind of feel like Joe and Demi were hanging out in Toronto and that when they decided to just leave things as they were when JB went on tour, the fact that Demi was able to still be cool with Joe and JB, reassured Joe that it would be okay if Demi and him became official and in the end didn’t work out. I think that part of what held them back was the thought that their friendship would be over if they ever dated and broke up. But now I feel like they both can see that even if things didn’t work out they’d still find a way to be close.
So I hope this means that jemi are going to keep getting closer and closer. Particularly in the last few days something seems to have changed and Demi is definitely feeling much better.
As for Joe, he is a definite flirt. But it takes someone like Demi who already knows this and is feeling more confident in herself, to date someone like Joe. He’ll always be that way, but we all know that Demi is the one that makes him nervous and that he really wants to impress.

Like I said Joe is a flirt and he’s in Hollywood. He is always going to meet attractive girls, probably for the rest of his life. But when it comes down to it there’s a huge difference between flirting and joking with someone, and the kind of sustained chemistry that Joe has with Demi.
That’s the thing for me… that even after spending a lot of time together (working together, touring together, hanging out together) the jemistry is still as strong as ever. With someone like Victoria, Joe can have an initial attraction etc but that’s no where near the level of connection he has with Demi. So I’m not worried.
Both Joe and Demi are growing up, they’re going to change for sure, but at the end of it both Joe and Demi seem to want to find someone they can share the rest of their lives with, have a family in the future and settle down etc etc. And who better to do that with than your best friend.:D

All of this is just further showing that he’s paying more attention to her and going out of his way to talk to her. And all those smiley faces are just reassuring Demi that she’s the one he really cares about.

I have been thinking that the reason Demi & Joe are both so happy is that JB are now planning to do a world tour and Demi is coming with them – maybe to Australia and Asia where neither of them have really played before, but they have lots of fans. This means lots of Jemi time and doing the thing that they both love the most together. I don’t have any evidence, it just feels like a good plan to me.

Look at this Selena gomezs album kiss & tell sold 387,000 and Demi lovato album here we go again sold 369,000!
My thought on that is that someone like Demi is going to have a long career and that when she finally does have her first breakthrough album and recognition, people will go back and buy her first albums.
Unfortunately for Selena I don’t think she’s going to have a really long career in the music industry, judging from what I’ve already seen and heard (and the depth of her singing/musical abilities). She may sell more copies in the present, but in the future are people going to keep buying her album? I personally don’t think so.
Many of the greatest artists in history weren’t initially the highest sellers. But through people buying their albums over time, they’ve ended up selling more than their initially high-selling peers.
Anyway that’s how I look at it. And I have no doubt in my mind that Demi is going to make a lot of albums and that one day she will get the recognition she deserves. Talent is eternal, hype is only temporary. 🙂

I can understand how you feel morgause and support whatever you feel you need to do, but I am in agreement with blarg and I’m just going to keep ignoring.
I noticed a little bit back that one particular hater found it weird when they were ignored, and it actually makes me smile more when they don’t get a reply and we stop the cycle.
It takes more energy for me to come up with a response, and really I’d rather just spend my time talking to all of you awesome jemi believers.
There are always going to be some sad people that feel they need to come here and be disrespectful. But I for one no longer care. I wish they wouldn’t but I can’t control that unfortunately.
What I feel I can do now is take back our power, and not waste a single minute of my time on their idiocy. Miley has a positive impact on her. I have no doubt about that. Regardless what she does in her concerts, she is a very SWEET thoughtful friend according to Demi and I totally believe her. 🙂
I do remember all those sweet tweets from Miley encouraging Demi, and I agree that she has been a good friend to Demi in the end. I’ve not always been a fan of everything Miley has done, but I do think she’s a loyal friend and someone that seems to have a sweet heart. Reading excerpts from her autobiography and particularly the chapter about Nick, I thought she came across as quite thoughtful and sweet to those she loves.
I remember reading that tweet too about Demi being the most beautiful girl in the world and thinking how lovely that was of Miley to say about her friend. Even after all that stuff with Trace, thankfully Miley told Demi that she’s knows her brother is an idiot. I’m sure it’s been a great help to Demi to know someone else that is often judged harshly and that can help her stay strong. 🙂
