The song is about how in reality he’s just a machine and he loves someone but can only do that in his dreams where that person loves him too and it’s not a sin. Ok I feel the need to comment on the Stevie Wonder song.
Firstly I never go straight to the lyrics for any song they tweet I always listen to the song first (believe me this really helps because most people don’t know all the lyrics to their favourite songs, usually just one or two of their favourite lines and the choruses and often only some of the lyrics are key in a song).
Overall the impression I have is this is a song about oppression of love, lack of freedom to love, but nevertheless having the power to dream (together).
Given that both Demi and Joe have had a lot of criticism about their relationship and are not free to go and explore it without constant media attention and family interest then I think it is a good supportive song for Joe to tweet for Demi.
In particular I think if I was a hot blooded twenty year old guy who had recently found out my girlfriend was about to have a musical candlelit bath (and also just tweeted something really funny), I’d want to suggest a song to her that might get her dreaming about me while she was in there ;). Pretty brave for Joe not to DM this given his dad follows Demi too, but again Go Joe for showing the love.

It is natural to have doubts. Some of us have come here for a long time and seen doubts come and go, trying to have faith in our instinct that what we saw with Jemi was real and true. We have been proved right, but I think it surprised a lot of us how quickly they showed their love publicly. These are the things I try to remember.
Demi and Joe have both been working in show business for most of their lives. They have worked extremely hard to get where they are today and their families are (at least to some extent) financially dependent on their ability to perform. We cannot judge their relationship on any “normal” relationship for people of their age. They have seen more of life than most of us had (or will have) at their age. Their lives are highly scheduled and it may well be easier for them to plan seeing each other around work commitments, for them this might be the best they can hope for – although I think Joe turning up at SWAC on Friday was him trying to be spontaneous.
Further I think that the decision to date was not for them a simple one. They have known each other a long time and Demi had previously denied they would ever date. It is not easy admitting you were wrong publicly and if you decide not to lie to your fans you have no option but to admit dating if you are asked a direct question. They would know this and the likely reaction from the crazy minority of haters when they decided to date, but they clearly felt that it was worth it anyway.
They could have easily carried on with the “just friends” story and the publicity for Oceans, Camp Rock 2 and Cambio would still have gone ahead around now. As a PR strategy the increasingly frenzied speculation would have generated as much interest, if not more, than the dating has. Instead they chose to be honest with each other and their fans and once Demi had admitted it there was no reason to deny it. Instead they have got on with enjoying it and have not tried to hide it.
Don’t doubt just enjoy – that’s what Joe and Demi are doing.

PFff, Demi doesnt need Disney. She’s making fans who like her for her, not for what Disney makes her seem. She’s gaining experience and just enjoying herself. She’s slowly breaking out of Disney, you can kind of see. Sure, she does stuff with the JB, but really, Demi is making her OWN music now, not the Disney junk she had to release in her first album (which was still decent actually). She’s going to be in Grey’s Anatomy, showcasing her mature acting. It’s only about time when Demi will pack her bags and say goodbye to Disney for good, and make her OWN name for herself. I’m glad Disney doesnt promote her, the more attached Disney becomes to her the harder it will be for her to escape them. With minimal promotion from Disney she isnt getting buckloads of little girl fans, but more teenaged fans. She’s also able to sneak off and do things like Grey’s without people going BUT SHES MY ROLE MODEL, WHY IS SHE DOIGN MATURE STUFF?
I personally like that Demi doesnt get attention from Disney, she doesnt need them. She’s using this oppurtunity to enjoy herself and keep a steady fan base, but soon she’ll be gone and Disney will WISH they had held on to her more tightly.

Exactly! I think Demi would do well in dramatic serious roles. To be honest, I loved her emotional scenes in PPP. The way she cried and got sensitive was SO convincible to me. I advice people to not laugh and take people lightly, because look what happened with Selena. She IS NOT a good singer, but look at her album! It’s selling a lot and has reached GOLD! Ugh Her single “naturally” is already platinum! Didn’t that shut people’s mouth painfully including me? She is a BAD singer I repeat, but I can’t say anything about her success. 😦 Thanks to her marketing team, her management, the producers and the writers. i like both demi and selena and both are good at their own fields. i dont want to criticize demi but she’s better in music than acting. selena is better if you see acting wise. so if you see the TCA09 i think selena deserved it and its not like demi didnt win anything. she won the best breakout star. i think its a all rounder. but yeah! demi can dance better than selena (we all saw her b’day video) so there’s nothing wrong in selena. she is sweet just as demi is. her album is selling more beczuse disney promotes well for everything they do. but disney did not even try and promote demi

Selena is just more popular than Demi. I know you guys don’t want to hear it because maybe you don’t like her or whatever, I myself don’t care about Selena. It’s not that I hate her, I just don’t care. I’ve never watched her show, the only thing I’ve seen her in is PPP and SWAC. But anyway, she’s been in the business longer and she is not directly assossiated to other people like Demi. Demi cannot do an interview without being asked about JB (and now that she’s dating Joe..). Demi’s music is more “serious” with the lyrics and everything but Selenas’ is just pop/dance which is very popular at the moment, it appeals to a larger audience. It makes me mad as well how Sel is getting all these festival/concerts booked in the US and Europe but Demi who’s been a singer for a lot longer isn’t. But the fact is, Selena is doing much much better than Demi in the industry. Demi’s album bombed. Yes it went to #1 but it still only sold about 369,000 copies, which is not much over all.
Demi NEEDS to step out of JB’s shadow, that’s why I don’t want her to tour with them again. She did that at the begining of her career, now she should move forward. Disney also has to stop forcing their song on the album like putting Gift of a Friend or So Far So Great. How can they expect people to take her seriously by putting THAT along side a song like Got Dynamite? It’s simple, they don’t.
I’m glad she did the duet with We The King and worked with John Mayer, it shows she’s got the props. Maybe her getting her own publishing group (is that even true? We haven’t heard about it since that one time) will help separating her from the others.

No one blames Selena for the success of her album. Of course, she deserves it even without a good voice to support her in live performances. What I am trying to say is that no one should exclude any of these girls from the possibility of doing good any field. If Selena was able to sell her album like that without much talent, so can Demi. But in Demi’s case, acting can be gained through the years and experience, whereas singing (no matter what you do) VOICE can’t be gained. At least you need it for LIVE performances when you grow up and you start signing for older audiences. Otherwise, lip-synching is the only option.
Both girls are growing up and exploring what they have their career. No one knows where each one will end up in 5 years from now and seriously, no one should completely exclude anyone from being unsuccessful in any field.
Plus who said Disney isn’t promoting Demi?! We are talking about 2010 here. SWAC is everywhere, on billboards, “Ads before movies” in theaters, magazines….etc. You can also see how they are putting a lot of effort on the show, with music and funnier episodes and sketches. Clearly she is coming strong this year AND CR2 promotion haven’t even started yet! In the first CR movie, she was UNKNOWN under the shadow of the Jonas Brothers. Now she is a STAR herself with her own show.
In addition, Disney have chosen “It’s On” to be the theme song for CR2, because they made a music video for it and guess who sings the whole song? JB or Demi? Of course Demi. The cast sings, but SHE is all over the SONG! She is THE STAR. Let’s remember, that Demi’s Mitchie is the center of CR2’s story as Zac’s Troy with HSM movies. Shane and Gabriella were only the love interests of these two characters.
It is important for Disney to focus on Demi now after Miley (and then Selena) leaving soon. She is the newest among the two. I would only blame the Jonas Group for the lack of her album promotion. Selena’s management are working their ass off.

Demi doesnt have the success she deserves but you cant blame Selena.I mean she had the chance to record an album she did it like demi did a show.They are both really talented but yes selena has more fans than Demi.I think Demi should stay away from Jonas too cause people just see her like a product from them. Yes, Demi might have little fans from CR & SWAC as well, but most people basically know her as a singer, and she gets WAY more respect for her music than Selena does. And that’s just fair!
I kind of think Selena changed, she seems a little fake. Yes, she wants to be a role model (or Disney wants her to because she has a lot of very young fans) but how can you like someone that only behaves the way they should behave & not how they feel like.
I know it’s always hard to figure the personalities of famous people, but no one can tell who she really is. Selena’s ALWAYS been sweet & innocent, but she used to be that in a natural way…

Camilla was a beautiful girl and Joe had a crush on her even before meeting her so I understand why he was in his bubble while he was dating her.
I mean its like if you had a crush on someone famous and one day you meet them and date them its like’Waaah I am dreaming’ and you live in your own world but like every dreams sometimes you wake up and realize that its not as perfect as you wanted it to be and it hurts.To me his relationship with Demi is more real,they know each other for years now.They know everything and are not afraid to see that the person they are with is not perfect.

How can “people” seriously say they are not in love yet??? They clearly adore each other. Do they have some strange definition of “in love” where they have to constantly hold hands and stare into each others eyes? That is infatuation/obsession not love. Do they not see how happy they make each other?
Dating is a huge step for 2 people who have such public lives and so much to lose if it goes wrong. They would not have decided to date unless they were really convinced of their feelings for each other – we are not the judges of whether they are in love, they are and they have decided to share that with the world. For a lot of really obvious reasons they are taking it slow and having fun with it, but I am sure they are “in love” whatever “people say”.
I think that you are contradicting yourself here. Like you said, we are not the judges. As in we don’t know. All of us. It’s obvious they adore eachother and have deep feelings and affections – that’s why we’ve been Jemi fans for years and they are dating – but we don’t know if they are really IN love. Yes they love eachother, but we don’t know how much.

..I wasn’t able to ask for a photo with him as I was working. He was smiling a lot and seemed really happy, even asking me how my day at work had been. He was very polite to me as well and really seemed like a normal guy. Wow, that was so nice of Joe to bring soup to his sick girlfriend!

I don’t comment here often, but i do read the comments everyday. I do believe that Joe brought her soup. People don’t make up simple stories like that and send it into OceanUP if they don’t instigate things. Demi even tweeted about vegetable soup…and she lives in Toluca Lake. My opinion (and I have been observing MANY JB/Demi pics/videos/interviews/live chats since 2007): Joe has always had deep feelings for Demi that changed to love throughout the last 2-3 years. The boy have always posed or stood practically on top of Demi when taking pics. Guys do that when they liek a girl A LOT. Within the last year Joe have practically stared down Demi whenever she performs or showed up anywhere.
Have everyone missed all the staring he did during Demi surprise appearance at the JB concert in Toronto in Aug 09, staring during Disney Florida Make a Wave performance, making music video and Joe staring hard at Demi during the Houston Rodeo Concert in Feb 10.
Joe NEVER stared hard at a girl or stood/posed for pics soooo close to a girl like that before.
He is always smiling in pics now, even walking down the street.
In conclusion Joe is in love and loves his Demi. Joe doesn’t/can’t hide his feelings very well. You can usually tell when Joe is happy, so-so, angry or sad.
Demi is the same way, she is just very giggly and wear a BIG smile.
I am tired of repeating the same old stuff.

Hey mom, what’s for dinner? Oh there’s pizza in the freezer, just pop it in the microwave.” I just shudder at the name of microwaves.
Going back to my situation. “Be nice then! Just ask yourself this question: Do you really think they would just be together for publicity? spend so much time together for just some pics on the magazine? Yeah I think two things about the “unexpected” remark of Joe.
1) It was unexpected that Jemi was able to date each other before Demi turned 18. Remember Demi was making it such a BIG deal in 2008 that she couldn’t have a public boyfriend until she turned 18? And Jemi is a VERY public BF not like her undercover and shady so-so past dates/BF.
2) It was unexpected that most fans are rooting for Jemi. Remember there was much hate for Demi during CR when people thought they were dating or close to dating.
I don’t think that Joe meant it in a bad or so-so way because when he said unexpected Nick looked at him with a smile like “Yeah right, unexpected my foot. It was obvious.” Kevin also gave him a look and was smiling. LOL
I must add also Joe STILL gets tongue tied and stutters when talking about Demi. He was stumbling, stuttering and making up words there for a moment. Soo cute.

Demi Lovato is also very close friends with the other members of The Jonas Brothers. Demi and Joe recently also perfromed at the American Idol stage and said they were very nervous before the show. All we can say is All’s well that ends well.
