Everything’s pretty crazy these days.
We have no clue what’s going on between them. They culd be friends, they could be lovers (that’s actually my favorite theory ;D), they could be totally awkward around each other (and of course they wouldn’t show it in public).
So let’s just chill & see what happens, but I want y’all to remind 2 things:
1 Celebrity relationships can be interesting, cute or sometimes awkward to watch, but please keep in mind that these are two people you don’t know & that it ain’t your relationship.
I don’t mean to hurt anybody by saying this, it’s just not good to be too much into things that are so … far away, practically irrelevant for your own life. It just scares me to read that some people had their “heart broken” about the Jemi breakup, I mean really, that’s not good…
I’m not saying everyone on here is like that, it’s just that some people seem to be really lonely in their real life & so they invent a dream world…
2 You can hate me for saying this, but it’s simply true & if you’ve ever been in a SERIOUS relationship you know I’m right. It’s just that you can’t just get back to BFF with a person you really, truly, deeply loved. Of course you can talk about things and be okay around each other, but it will never, NEVER ever be the same.
If two past lovers can remain friends, then they were never in love, or they STILL are.

What has struck me about the Access Hollywood interview and the fact that Demi is staying in a different hotel to the Jonas brothers is that it gives the impression that Joe and Demi had completely isolated themselves from each other after the split and are only just now starting to reconnect. Not sure who’s idea this was, whether the split hit them so hard they just couldn’t face each other or management or their families thought it would be better for them.
The impression I have is that they have really only seen each other when they have had to work together. In my head the joking at GMA, the “happy birthday” Demi mouthed to Joe before the “yo, yo” thing started the other night and the hug are signs that they are both (quite quickly given the amount of separation) getting comfortable with being around each other again and I have high hopes they will be hanging out together off stage by the end of the US arm of the tour.
I really don’t think I can allow myself to believe that romance is back on the cards just yet, it seems far too soon to be a possibility, but I still believe that Joe and Demi each have strong feelings for each other which they will eventually have to face and in the meantime I feel a bit sorry for anyone else they try to date, because they will be “competing” with a relationship that I think is really important to both Joe and Demi.

I jut read the letter by Joe’s lawyer and I gotta say it’s ridiculous. ‘Friends with benefits’ doesn’t automatically mean you’re having sex, right? Who thought that abyway? I think they’re making a way too big drama out of this.
And I think by what he said that Joe is dating Ashleym but more in a way of meeting up & having fun, because Ashley isn’t even interested in a serious relatioship.
And I he’s confused when it comes to Demi, not really sure what he wants. Well but I’m sure she’s in love with him. I’m sure she likes “getting her hopes up for the future” (she posted that on Twitter.)

may seem insignificant, but i think joe and dem standing next to each other is a huge step! and look how close demi is to him. she’s kind of in a way, cuddled up to joe. it’s adorable. i hope they sat next to each other on the inside. 🙂

I agree, however strong the attraction is between them, they have been through a tough breakup and the friendship seems to be the most important thing to them right now.

I don’t think Joe and Ashley finally being confirmed can have come as too much of a surprise to people (if it did come as a shock, just remember not to let it affect your own life and happiness too much).
I would like to think that Demi knew in advance that Ashley would go to the game today because Joe told her and so (even though it cannot be the best pre-birthday gift) she will handle it well and continue to rebuild her friendship with Joe. I suspect Demi has known Joe and Ashley have been dating for some time – which might explain her comment about being sure Joe would date on tour if he wanted to in the Ryan Seacrest interview. If this is the case then the Jemi friendship is truly super strong and will continue.
As I have said before, I think Joe looking for a “more mature” GF like Ashley is part of him trying to be more mature, and I think his crazy side will eventually get the better of him. Even if Joe and Ashley have had a dozen dates and many phone calls, she can’t have spent that much alone time with him yet – he will still be on “best behaviour”. With Demi they were well past that before they even started dating and she didn’t seem to have a problem with it.
In the meantime, I guess we should feel sorry for all three of them
Demi – for loving a guy/BF who changes his life plans every other month and can’t yet appreciate what she has to offer beyond friendship
Joe – because he is too confused / lovestruck to realise he is very unlikely to achieve long term happiness dating a famous girlfriend with serious career prospects on a different tangent to his own – even though he has been down this road before
Ashley – because the only one who will truly understand the level of hate about to be unleashed on her by the Joe Hoe’s convinced she seduced Joe away from his purity ring is going to be Demi.
Time will tell, but sad to say, I think we are going to see Joe with another broken heart when Ashley realises exactly what she has signed on for. Wonder where in the world tour “Much Better” will make it’s way back into the set list?
In the meantime, I hope Joe and Demi keep their friendship strong, because it is awesome.

Joe needs to find himself, doesn’t mean he needs to be with Demi right now. As we want, as it looks, Joe loves Demi, Joe likes Ashley. With 21 years old, he is kind obsessed to grow up, so he doesn’t see the true beauty of Demi, and prefers to go “public” with a hottie of hollywood, as for Ashley she is the dolly who has everything, and has many ken’s to play with!
Before jemi dating time, fans said ” Demi deserves better, Joe is not giving her what she deserves” and i was like “no i trust in joe, of courz he will fall for her”, right now i am kind more worried with Demi than Jemi. I will not hate on Joe or Ashley, not gonna waist my time, but i will definitly not be sorry when joe gets broken heart.

I must agree.
1) Let Joe go out there and look for what he “thinks” that he should have in a relationship. Sometimes a relationship with osmeone your age is not the BEST type for your personality.
He should also stop giving Demi hope (if he is) that they will be together if she sticks by him in ANYTHING where he has to find himself.
There HAS to be a LIMIT to what Demi is expected to support Joe in. Career yes, him dating other girls then getting back to her while she waits, NO.
Demi will just look and feel pitiful and not an equal partner in that scenario.
2) Demi needs to leave Joe completely alone, stop looking at him to change so that they can date again any time soon and get on with her life personally and professionally. She really need to start dating a great guy soon.
3) Ashley can do what she wants. She seems like she has her agenda and do whatever she feels like doing.
I seriously don’t think that Ashley will break Joe’s heart cause he is not in love with her and she doesn’t seem the type that he would fall in love with. And No I didn’t believe that Joe was in love with Camilla either.
Eventually Joe, more than likely it will happen when Demi has moved on to a great guy, will realize what he has lost in Demi and will get a broken heart over that. Who knows if Demi will give him a second chance then.
I don’t hate Joe but I feel disappointed in him. I think his behaviour in that matter has been awful, and not even as a boyfriend but as a bestfriend. I thought that he would treat Demi better as the bestfriend she was.
What I find funny in this story is that Joe seems to think that Demi is not mature enough for him when he is the immature one. I suppose we hoped that his connection with Demi would be stronger than his immaturity. I think Joe is a little boy lost. I don’t know what the future holds but I agree with Tricus, Demi needs to move on for true and let behind Joe for the moment. He treats her like she’ll always be there just when he wants her to and life doesn’t go that way.
I don’t think Joe is ready for a true relationship, that’s what he’s dating a girl like Ashley: he knows it won’t last (in the same way I think he let himself fall for Camilla because he knew she didn’t love him). However I think Demi is ready to have more mature relationships and to really begin the career she wants to have.
Maybe all of this was for the best because Demi needed it to move past Joe. And maybe Joe will see in the future all the foolishes behaviours he has had towards the girl who has cared the most about him, we’ll see if she takes him back or if she has an incredibley life and boyfriend by then.
Either way, it seems to me disrespectful to go public with Ashley one day before Demi’s birthay but that is Joe’s immaturity.

Joe can do whatever he wants, it’s not that much what he does but the way he does it. It’s not a matter of “teams” or going on with someone you don’t want to but one of the most important things in life is to learn how to treat the people who love you and are there for you. Wow after reading all these comments tonight it rly got me thinkin and u know what the weird thing is??? Today at dance during jazz class my dance teacher turned on a song called what goes comes around by justin timberlake and the song is about how two people were in a relationship and the girl left the guy and she found someone new and better but eventually she had her heart broken so ahe came running back to the guy… in this case it’s the opposite….joe left demi and my dance teacher wuz like this song is true listen to the words carefully this applies to life and stuff so anyway my point is I think joe doesn’t know what he wants right now but maybe one day he will wake up with a heartache realizing that he let the most precious thing slip from his hands…..then maybe he will go running back to her…I just hope that by then it’s not too late cuz demi deserves to move on too….what goes around comes back around, joe. You guys do know that Demi’s birthday party is tonight, and Joe, Ashley and I think Nick are all out at a play. They aren’t at the party. You want to believe they’re friends, but they’re being forced to say that. It’s 100% false. They’re OK with each other, at best. And that’s it. Kevin hates Demi. And if for no other reason (though Joe has many) he’ll never get back together with her because of that. Joe left Demi for a VERY good reason. You don’t even want to know what it is. joe doesn’t have to stop his life in the name of sparing demi’s feelings. The problem here is joe initiated the relationship then abruptly ended it. It’s kinda sad to see that he risked their friendship and demi’s heart and rushed into a relationship when he wasn’t even sure of it. For me that’s what makes this ash thing wrong especially during this tour. As for demi, i’m proud of how she is handling the situation. She is not fishing around for a boy to ‘show joe what he’s missing’. right now I think that Joe needs to lose Demi for a bit before he can realize how great she is. Let him watch her from afar getting greater and greater success and dating great guys who treat her right.
Joe will NEVER see that he and Demi make a great team in life if she is ALWAYS there, backing him, taking crap from him and constantly in his life. He has to miss her, realize that Demi doesn’t need him to make her happy before he realize that he really needs her in his life.
That is why I think that Demi needs to at least give him the cold shoulder until after tour then they go their separate ways for awhile,like 3-5 yrs.

3 As for Demi, yes I think she’s over the situation, but not directly over Joe. I think she still has feelings for him but she accepts the fact things didn’t work out/don’t work out at the moment and is kinda moving on. We’ll see what happens in the future. Yeah, maybe one day Joe will come crawling back to her and it’ll be too late, or it won’t, or something totally different will happen, WE’LL SEE.
And I hope that at that time we’re all mature enough to not fight over the relationship of two celebrities.

this whole ‘make joe see what his missing’ is pathetic and childish. I’m proud demi isn’t doing that, it shows how mature she is becoming and learning from her mistakes. She should have fun and go on random dates(just for fun) it will help her get over joe and feel good about herself. As for joe and ashley, we can never predict what will happen and he is just having fun so let him be. Ashley seems nice from what i saw from the video. She is quite supportive. If dems and joe weren’t meant to be we can’t force him to stay single to spare demi’s feelings. As for demi, keep your head up and don’t stoop to Tay swift levels. It will all get better in time hun!
My thoughts for today..
I am very proud of Demi right now. She is handling this well. I think she has known about Joe liking Ashley a lot longer than we have and she knows Joe a lot better than we do. She is getting on with having fun, enjoying her life, focussing on her career and her fans – she doesn’t need to rush into another relationship.
My impression of the little I have seen of Joe and Ashley is that their relationship is at the early, “getting to know you” stage, it certainly doesn’t seem that serious yet.
Whatever happens though, Joe and Demi seem determined to remain close and so long as they do and continue to have fun together this is always going to be a challenge for anyone dating either of them.
Put yourself in Ashley’s shoes – you have found yourself a very nice, attractive, caring, sensitive, funny and respectful boyfriend. You visit him to support him playing sports and then spend a nice afternoon shopping with him chatting and (probably) sharing the odd kiss – then BAM before you know it photos of him with his arm around his newly 18, extremely hot looking,ex-girlfriend, “best friend” are all over the internet. It is going to take a lot of reassurance and self-confidence to convince yourself that he is truly over her.
Joe probably thinks all his Christmases have come at once, new lady to impress, Demi has forgiven him and is back laughing and joking with him, getting all the love of his fans on tour. So much to learn…
Demi knows Joe, she knows a lot about his previous dating form (I mean she was hanging out with Camilla a few days before she was re-united with Joe). She is surrounded by good friends and family. She can take her time working through her feelings for Joe while still enjoying his company and being on tour (which she has to do anyway). She knows she can have a great platonic relationship with Joe, she’s done it before. Either someone else will come along or Joe will work out what a dumbass he’s been (& she will get to decide whether to try again or not). Win-win.

What pisses me off is that Joe seems to be fine with him moving on so quickly with Ashley Greene, but at the same time… he still messes around with Demi. He expects Demi to WATCH him to move on and be upset, but she’s not allowed to find HER guy. He hates it when Demi’s having fun with another guy(heart and soul: demi rocking out/hugging nick), but he thinks he can go around kissing Ashley Greene and everything’s fine.
Honestly, im worried for Demi. I agree with Tricus, no-one can spend so much time with their ex, while watching him move on. As for all the Nemi comments, im glad Nick’s there for Demi. He understands that she needs someone to be there for her, and its hard for her. He knows she deserves to have fun. They’ve gotten closer, but it doesnt neccessarily mean they will start dating anytime soon.

What Joe is doing reflects that he isn’t conscient of things: he lives in his youpi world. i’m sure he truly believes right now that his life is perfect: he has a new hot girl to seduce (let’s face it: joe likes the seduction part way more than the relationship part),he is on tour, he has an album coming up and Demi is there, as always. I’m sure he thinks everything is perfectly fine showing his new girl before Demi’s birthday and I’m sure he finds it coherent to say that he wants to keep his life private and kissing in public. He’s delusional, things aren’t like they seem. I think he is happy but not because of Ashley, I don’t have anything against the girl but it could have been anyone of the same profil, he is happy because of the situation, he thinks everything is back to normal. Something that, obviously, isn’t possible.
I’m very proud of Demi either but I think she shouldn’t defend him more because Joe has to learn how the real world is (he has no idea), I thought he would have learn something after the whole Taylor drama but apparently not. Right now they better go their separate ways: joe needs to find himself (he doesn’t know what he wants, neither professionally or personally) and he needs to do it alone and to learn to assume the consequences of his decisions and acts. Demi should be, in a sense, feel freed. Her story with the JB and Joe has been beautiful but it’s time to move own, for now at least. She has to go on building her career and affirming her own personnality. In some years they pathes may be cross again in a better time or not but it appears clear to me that right now Demi needs to move on and put Joe aside (really aside), she deserves all that is waiting for her: she just has to go and take it.

I am intrigued to know if Joe went on Demi’s boat trip on Friday. I assumed because of the shopping photos with Ashley that he didn’t. But his lovely new watch shows 5.55 at the time he was with Ashley and the people who have tweeted about being on the boat don’t seem to start tweeting about it until well after 7pm. I know he doesn’t appear in the videos, but then neither does Maddie and from her photo of the Statue of Liberty she was there too. Ashley was up at 5am on set tonight so presumably she left NY yesterday evening. Would love to know either way, but I guess I never will.
Also, I have yet to see a photo where Joe looks particularly happy to be with Ashley or vice versa, they generally looks a bit bemused by it all. One begins to wonder why they are even bothering if this is as thrilling as it gets.

Well calmdownlove, I think that in a way all of this will be positive for Demi in the long run even if right know it must really sucks. Maybe she needed to see Joe act like that in order to let go and not just let go of him but a lot of other things. As the days go I see this tour as the end of a period in Demi’s life and the beginning of another one. She isn’t a kid anymore and I think she has been deceived by people who really meant a lot to her and even if she has forgiven them she sure learnt things. She probably learned them the hard way but she learned, I’m more sur than anytime that Demi will be really big.
As for Joe…what can I say? He can do whatever he wants, it’s his life and he has the freedom to live it his way but I still think that the way he did things it’s absolutely hurtfull and unclassy. I think Demi said it all when she said that he doesn’t do things with a bad intention, I think it’s true: he doesn’t have bad intentions but boy his behaviour was more acceptable at 17 than at 21. He’ll mature someday, hope he has fun down the road and don’t crash on the wall.I think he is a good guy but he is use to get things way too easy, he is spoiled. I believe he is like good wines: he probably will be wonderful to drink at his 30 but right now it’s better to wait.

As for Joe being a child: oh yeah he is. In fact I feel towards him what I feel towards a child: you always find an excuse for a child because children are children. The only problem is that Joe is 21, jaja. I don’t know if you watch Grey’s anatomy guys but Joe reminds me of Marc Sloan sometimes. When things get serious, he runs away: what he hasn’t learn yet is to not let things get serious, it would be easier than to run away. I know many of you guys are upset and probably disappointed…and I read all of those comments saying how Joe is hurting Demi, and that she still loves him, and in some ways I don’t think that she#s seriously badly hurt by his behaviour.
I took the time to read all her tweets, before the break up, and after the break up and now I think I understand this whole situation a bit better.
Even though Demi never directly tweeted about her break up with Joe, you can guess when it happened, because of the songs she tweeted.
Do you remember when they were in NY, and Joe and Demi were never seen with each other?
That’s because the break up was before NY.
Demi tweeted these songs while packing for NY and her tour:
“Need you Now – Lady Antebellum”
Forever – Rascal Flatts
Gravity – Sara Bareilles
pretty much explaines everything, those are all break up songs, about being hurt and missing that person.
Now, when Demi started her South American Tour, the music slightly changed into:
“Warning Sign – Coldplay”
“Blind – Kesha”
while the coldplay song is still a really sad song, “Blind” shows that Demi was already starting to feel a bit better.
There are some stages you go through when you just experienced a break up. First of: Pain, Tears, but the next stage is anger, and disappointment, followed by accepting what happened.
We know that Demi has always had feelings for Joe, but I think that when she dated him, she realized that it isn’t how she thought it would be. I Think Demi knew that Joe wasn’t ready for anything serious, and that’s not what she’s looking for. Joe said he broke up with her because their friendship is more important right now, and I think it proves that he wasn’t ready to be this serious yet, and Demi realized that he isn’t what she was looking for.
It seems to me, that Demi accepted the fact that it didn’t work out, and that she truly has moved on, for now. She is a strong person, and I think that Zack Taylor is right, there will be big changes, and Demi will finally get what she deserves.
Joe being with Ashley doesn’t seem to affect her, because she really is over him, and because she knows that it won’t last. She isn’t faking happiness, she really truly is happy, and that shows how strong she is.
Don’t forget that life isn’t like a disney movie, there aren’t always happy endings, and sometimes having strong feelings for someone just isn’t enough, they gave it a try and it didn’t work out. If this was a disney movie, they would get back together soon, but it isn’t. They will both date other people, and they won’t do it to make each other jelous, but because that’s what every person would do. Moving on.
There will always be a strong chemistry between them, and maybe in some years when their paths cross again, feelings will develop again, but who knows.
For now, they both have moved on, and Joe is obviously seeing Ashley, and Demi is still happy and not heartbroken about that fact.
Don’t get me wrong, i am a jemi fan, but I respect that they discovered that their relationship didn’t work out and there is this quote that describes it perfectly: “Sometimes it’s not holding on that makes you strong, sometimes it’s letting go”
I love their friendship, and maybe they will give it another try when we least expect them to.

I agree with you on some points. I think that even if Demi was Joe’s bestfriend she had him idealized and the only way to mature was this relationship. I don’t think she is angry or depressed but I do think she is disappointed and deceived. I think she realized that people as important to her as Joe and Selena weren’t like she thought (doesn’t mean they are bad people, just different). I also think this relationship was necessary to Demi to close a period in her life and I’m not worried about her because I believe that the next period is the real deal for her.

Sometimes I think that maybe Demi was always in love with Joe and being the amazing girl she is he thought: hey, why not give it a try? without true feelings, but then I look at the pics and videos and I think it’s not possible he didn’t feel something strong for her.Some people say Joe is acting like a 21 year old, I think he acts more like a 17 one.
Either way the only way to find out if Joe is truly over her is Demi dating a new guy. Joe isn’t good when it comes to hiding his feelings, so if Demi would start dating someone else we could see Joe’s reaction. I personally think that Demi and Sterling would be a cute couple, though I would also love to see her with Travis in a way, because he really is a nice guy and I think he would be a loving and caring boyfriend, but on the other hand..what would happen to Demi’s and Travis friendship if they would break up?

I agree with what a lot of you are saying about Joe and the situation and the way he’s handling it. I too think he’s being a bit insincere considering he’s still on tour and has to be in Demi’s face for the next month or so. BUT we cannot force Jemi to happen. Love is natural and it must be something that is wanted. I know I may get bashed for this but who are we to say whether Jemi is meant to be together forever. Sometimes people with such amazing chemistry as Joe and Demi aren’t always meant to be together in a romantic way. If Joe doesn’t want to be with Demi then I don’t think he should get criticized for it. They gave it a shot and it didn’t work out as planned. We were lucky enough to even get Jemi no matter how long or short the relationship was. I believe that Joe has good intentions like Demi said but is just naive when it comes to how he thinks everything is alright. I’m sure Demi is hurting but she’s a trooper and will not let it show. She will move on sooner or later but not for revenge but because she has found someone who cares for her in the same way that she does. Jessica: it’s not about chosing sides, it’s just a matter of what you see and you think about it. The fact that Joe disappoint you doesn’t mean you hate him or whatever: nobody’s perfect. Love someone is like being a friend to someone: it doesn’t mean to always agree with what they do, it means to stand by them even when you say to them they’re wrong. Everybody can tell you: hey, you’re always right, beautiful and perfect but a few people will tell you you’re wrong and stand by you. Those are people are the ones who help. Believe me.
Ok, this is just a dumb theory, so don’t shoot me, but has anyone considered that Ashley Greene might actually be part of the reason Joe broke up with Demi? I say this because I was looking at some old posts and I realised that all the JB’s were at the Young Hollywood awards with Ashley on 14th May 2010.
Nick would obviously already know her from the Jimmy Fallon show they did in January, but maybe he introduced her to Joe then.
The last happy sighting we had of Jemi as a couple was at the beach a few days before this and afterwards we had Joe tweeting Fader, Demi tweeting Gravity, Prom drama, then New York.
Perhaps, Joe fell for Ashley then and that made him reconsider where his relationship with Demi was going? Maybe he thought that it would be better to let Demi know he was having doubts? – a stupendously bad idea when your girlfriend is as into you as Demi was with Joe at that point and bound to lead to arguments. Then later when he met up with Ashley in London as a single guy, he decided to make something of it.
Still doesn’t give him a good excuse for being so public with her over Demi’s birthday weekend, but it might explain why he doesn’t see himself as moving on too soon – if he’s been crushing on Ashley for over 3 months.
Still haven’t seen much of him looking smiley or happy since he’s been dating ashley though, so I still don’t see it lasting.
Still think at some point he’ll realise that Demi is his soulmate – hopefully it won’t be too late then.

I’m seeing a lot of people talking about how now he just cares about Ashley and not about his “bestfriend”‘s feelings: have you not noticed that this is how Joe works? They buy him a new toy and the toy he loved to play with one week away just end up in the closet. 2. Some say she wants the spotlight, well: probably, she wants to be a star and she is dating a Jonas: for once the spotlight isn’t on Taylor, Kristen or Robert but on her. Like I said before, this relationship is for fun and she gets publicity from it too.
As for the ones asking themselves if he loves her: it’s Ashley but it could have been anybody else of the same profile.

Agree, like usual. With Joe I always think he’s learned his lesson, with the Taylor thing I thought “Well, all of this drama for nothing. He sure has learned there are ways to do things”, I was wrong. When the camilla’s break up I thought “Well, now he knows it hurts”, he’ll be more careful with others”, wrong again. Then when Jemi got together I was happy but worried because a part of me thought “hummm isn’t it too soon” but then I said to myself “it’s Demi, he wouldn’t do that to her”…well, look how that did turn out! You know, in some way this is Demi’s fault too: she has always been there for Joe, probably even when he didn’t deserve it and he got used to it. He took her for granted. Joe needs a karma’s lesson, it would be hard but good for him in the end.

Yeah I think that Demi has had Joe’s back in the past too much. She should have let him suffer some instead of always defending him or propping him up.
Now he thought even with the breakup and him dating Ashley that he can do whatever he wants to Demi and she would STILL be there for him.
On one thing he is right. Demi will not bad mouth him or the JB in the media or with casual acquaintances like the CR2 crew. Her best,best friends whom she trusts totally like Nolan or Marissa yeah because that is what they are there for. Obviously there are some stuff going on behind the scenes though, which we can all see on stage.
I hope that Demi has finally been able to see Joe for who he really is and just let him make his mistakes and fall. She can be there up to a point but not for EVERYTHING.
Joe has hurt Demi badly so I am sure that she is following THAT to the letter. I hate for Demi to learn this hard lesson after going through her backstabbing friends, father and Selena issues last year.
Demi has been through a LOT of deep emotional stress and heartache in the past 2 years. Can’t believe that she just really came in the scene in 2008 after shooting CR like Oct 2007.
I am curious: WHAT happened with the ZT lawsuit? OBVIOUSLY Joe wasn’t THAT concerned about it because ZT still has not taken down ANY Joe/Demi article. WHAT a show. Wonder what it was REALLY for.

Okay, so this is what I think is happening.
I think that Joe still has feelings for Demi. And I most definitely think that Demi still have feelings for Joe.
I mean, did you see the video of Joe tearing up while singing “Make It Right”?! I mean, I think its about Demi, obviously. haha.
And the picture of Joe, Demi, and Nick at Demi’s birthday party. Joe had his arm around Demi’s waist. Nick’s was behind his back or something.
And the the first video of Demi&Joe hugging, Demi went in for the hug. On the second time they hugged they both went in for it. They’re patching up their relationship. The first time hugging they looked as if they were unsure but the second time it looks like they’re going to make that hug a routine.
Oh and I think the whole Joe and Ashley thing is ehhh. haha. I mean, I believe that they are dating but let’s face it. Ashley is way more mature than Joe. But who knows, maybe she likes that? I LOVE Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas but them together, hell no.
And to everyone saying that Joe looked awkward during the “Smitchie” kissing scene, they are acting. Maybe he was supposed to look surprised/awkward?! But I do believe that the tweet Demi said last September, the one about how love strikes when the first kiss ignites or something, is about the kissing scene between them during CR2. Aghh, I freaking love Jemi.

The Zack Taylor matter…I have forgotten about that one! Maybe ZT was saying the truth? We know Joe is one confused guy and act on impulse, imagine he did really hooked up with Demi after the first show then he decided to truly date Ashley then Demi got her heart broken all over again? Anyways, I remember when it came out people were saying “Joe is defending Demi”…How? Saying that it is absolutely untrue he has anything romantically going on with her? I think Joe was trying to keep his reputation in a good place and I remember ZT saying that maybe the cause for Joe’s bad reputation was his way of treating girls…I hate to say he was right, something is really wrong when ZT is right.
And Joe is trying to convince his “girlfriend” that Demi is nothing to him in this way like he did with every other girlfriend in the past, nothing special.
I think that the feelings were intense and the relationship got serious then Joe got scared like the little kid he is…He felt like shit and him dating Ashley is his way of saying: “Hey, I’m a grown up, not a scared chiken. I wasn’t the problem, our relationship was. I’m dating a mature girl, see? Everything is perfectly fine with me”…How immature is that?
Poor Demi…the joe thing back and forth has been there for more than 2 years, then the Selena deception, the bad friends, etc…Too many bad things but sometimes the truth hurts. What makes me mad is the amount of hate Demi has got herself in the past for defending Joe…It’s time for her to have someone who is there instead of being the one who’s always there.

I don’t think Joe dumped Demi to hook up with Ashley, I don’t think he is that bad or that calculating, but I think he was attracted to her. I don’t think he fell out of love with Demi, but I do think he would be far too honest with Demi if he had any doubts or was scared of being “tied down” before he was ready – lets face it the Jo Bros are the marrying kind so they need to be really sure/ready before they commit too far. After the break up, when he totally lost contact with Demi he explored his feelings for Ashley.
Its a real Venus/Mars sort of situation where guys try and bring logic into their emotional relationships and girls go more with their hearts. I think Joe still loves Demi, but he has decided more than friends is too difficult “right now”. He likes Ashley well enough to date her and see if they have something. Typical guy he probably thinks if Demi says “I’m cool with being just friends” that that is the literal truth.

so, i went to the road dogs game yesterday! my friends and i were right on the other team’s dugout, so we had a perfect view into jb’s. ashley was there, there’s already pics out and all that. but let me tell you, this is firsthand experience – joe didn’t look that into her. he didn’t glance over at the dugout once. he played his game and when he went back the dugout he walked over to her one time, for about two minutes. and then he turned and started talking to his brothers.
they lost, and nick was super angry about it. but overall, i think they played a great game. kevin pitched great! joe dropped the ball in the outfield a few times, and nick was really mad at him for a good few minutes, lol. anyway, firsthand seeing joe and ashley? they’re still in the beginning stages of their relationship.
they’re not that comfortable around each other…and honestly joe barely really looked at her. so, take it as you will. i’m going to another game this week,s o i’ll let you know details from that one too. 🙂

Today, I am feeling pretty calm.
I have looked at the pictures of Joe and Ashley on Just Jared Jr, I have looked at Demi looking amazing in black and gold on Anything Disney and I find that I still like Demi and I still like Joe. I would be more than OK right now if Demi and Travis Clark dated (but I’m also Ok for her to stay single if she chooses).
The thing is, the things I always liked about Joe and Demi are still there and I figure if I can see them then Joe and Demi can see them and one day, maybe not this week, this month etc… but one day …. they will be ready to make good on all the amazing chemistry they have. In the meantime they need to experience more of life and grow and if they do this with friends or boyfriends/girlfriends then maybe that’s what needs to happen.
My only wish for now is that they find a way to keep their friendship & in particular I want to see them hanging out/ relating as friends again. I would kind of like to see Demi be the guest on the JB’s live chat tomorrow and it not be awkward (oh and for them to announce the European tour dates) – is this asking too much?
I think it’s really clear that I am a Jemi FAN, I’ve been on this site for a really long time, and I’ve supported that couple since they met, BUT reading all those comments, about how you guys wish that Joe’s and Ashley’s relationship will be over soon, so that he can date Demi..I have to admit that I don’t agree.
I hope, hell, i PRAY, that Joe just leaves her alone for now. He can date Ashley, if it’s fun for him, but seriously, he should just back off from Demi, because he needs to see that he can’t have everything he wants, just because he is famous and because he might seem cute, and honestly, that guy isn’t as hot as everyone says. He is a hell of a coward, and I’ve dated a few guys like him in the past, very good looking, but immature and self centered as hell.
Joe looks fairly good, but there comes a point in life, when you realize that it’s not about how a guy looks.
I don’t care how cute or good looking a boy might be, if he is immature, self centered and a baby, like Joe is, then he can stay away, because I don’t need a pretty boy, what matters is the personality. And if a guy has a bad personality, then there is no point in dating him.
As long as Joe continues to be such a immature coward, he should stay away from Demi, and I hope that they won’t get back together during these next few months, or even the next 2 years, because he would only break her heart again. He would run away again, if it gets too serious.
I love Jemi, but I don’t think that this will work out, not until Joe decides to finally grow up, and stop acting like a little kid.
So maybe in some years, they will give it another try, but if joe continues to be so immature, then I really hope that Demi will find the perfect guy, who will treat her the way she deserves to be treated, and I will watch Joe suffer because he will finally realize what a hell of a mistake he made, and he will have to live with it, because by then, it will be too late.
And I’m not surprised that Joe isn’t wearing his purity ring, because they once said that it symbolizes that they will treat ladys right, that they will be respectful to them, and Joe does NOT treat girls, especially demi, right.

Anyway to continue: Joe and Ashley has been seeing each other since 1 July when the first reports came in soooo they should be kind of comfortable with each other by now. That ZT lawsuit: Just to cover Joe’s rep or ass. Don’t think it has nothing to do with Ashley. She could care less. There are always rumors/lies about stars. She knows how it works in Hollywood. If she asked Joe (which I doubt she would do) and he denies it, that is good enough for her because she is not emotionally invested in the relationship.

I’ve been involved with somebody with ego’s problem: they tend to be people who in fact have self estim issues. It’s horrible, you can’t live with someone who always put herself before everyone else. They don’t realize you need them or that they are hurting you or they just talk about themselves, when you make them see it they are truly sorry but even with all the good intentions of the world they come back to their ego. And it’s really hard to stop being there for them ’cause you know they care about you and you love them but you have to. They have to learn there are other people and you have to remember that you exist by yourself.
If he goes on like that Joe is going to crash and not just about Demi: if he doesn’t understand he can’t have it all without giving nothing then life will make him understand, probably the hard way.

Yeah that’s my point exactly lovebirds. If Joe will continue to be the way he is right now then he and Demi needs to stay apart , not even be friends actually, and just do their own thing personally and professionally.I know people are like I would still want them to be friends BUT Joe will not learn or comprehend his issues if Demi(who as his BFF he has seemed to hurt the most in his dating history) is STILL always there to support, comfort and have his back as a crutch.
Joe will not be helped that way and definitely Demi will not be able to find a guy and give it her all in that relationship if she is still attached emotionally to Joe and communicating with him.
It is better to make a clean break. If Joe changes or matures in a couple of years then Joe and Demi can give it another try as friends first but let Joe live his life like he wants to right now and leave Demi alone to get on with her life.

I honestly don’t think it’s cool for Joe to be getting bashed because he started another relationship so soon. If he was any other guy no one would give two shits! Don’t get me wrong I think Demi is a sweet, wonderful, talented, and beautiful girl BUT I believe Joe did the right thing by breaking off the relationship before things got too serious. Even Demi said his intentions were good and not bad. It is obvious from the beginning that Joe was NOT as emotional involved in the relationship as Demi was nor was he ready to be. Just think back to the Teen Vogue interview.Demi said SHE was the one who initiated the relationship and Joe pretty much ran away when she brought it up. However, he said he just needed to think about it before making that move to be romantically involved because he knew as well as all of us that would change everything. Also if what I read was true, in January Demi said her and Joe were not going out and it would never happen then 2 months later there together. I believe Demi always loved Joe and still does that’s why she continues to stick by him. She just got fed up with seeing him date other girls who she knew wasn’t right for him and wanted it to be her turn. Anyway I think he agreed to give it a shot because he did somewhat like her more than a friend but he figured hey what hell maybe if given some time his feelings might grow. Well after two months Joe realized that his feelings hadn’t changed. He knew she loved him and he loved her to but not in the romantic way. Like he said he “loves her as a sister.” So I’m assuming he felt as thought Demi was really serious about the relationship and he just didn’t feel the same way so he decided to try and remain “just friends.” That’s why he said the friendship was more important to him. I don’t think Joe broke up with Demi for Ashley he did it because he didn’t want to string her along any longer and end up hurting her way more than she already is hurt now. There is just sooooo much missing from this story that we may never know because they are not telling of course. Because there is no way Joe just broke up with his bestfriend for no reason. Fuck Taylor Swift and whatever she put into people’s head’s about Joe because he is not a douche, jerk, or ass-whole. He is a “boy” and just doesn’t understand that they way he goes about things are technically the best way.

About the people itw, you ‘re right: it’s the impression I got out of it, it sounded like Joe thought “Hey, why not?”. But if I remember correctly in this Itw Joe also said that even if Demi was the one who iniated it all, he was the one who decided that they should be a couple.
If your theory is right I think Joe should have thought more about it before giving it a try with her bestfriend. I think that some of his behaviours showed that he took the relationship like a true one.
As for the him loving her like a sister…In my world that would be incest,it is possible that I see things where there aren’t but if I had a brother and he looked at me like that I would be worried, confused at least.
About Taylor…Look, Taylor was a drama queen: you could understand her hurt at first but not the way she kept going with it. That doesn’t mean Joe could have not done things better with her.
In the end it’s not who he dates and with who he breaks up, it’s more how he does it.

Actually I have never heard Joe say that he love Demi “as a sister” . He has said he loves her “as one of his best friends or friend” before.
Plus the way he looks at her, I agree with Nhoa, if he loved/loves her as a sister I don’t know what is going in HIS head. THAT would be creepy and all kind of wrong. HA
This is my opinion: When Demi said in the interview that Joe had to go and think about it when she asked him why they were not dating I think that Joe had never wanted to take their relationship to the next level right NOW.
HE was happy with the flirting, touchy feely, staring, spending secret time together doing artsy stuff etc… that Jemi had been doing before they dated. Joe wanted to date other girls for “fun” and have Demi as his close “flirty” BFF on the side. Crude I know, but that’s what I think. He wanted Demi to be there for LATER like when HE is ready for anything serious because he does have deep serious feelings for her..
I think that Joe wasn’t READY for anything serious in a relationship which he felt that Demi was looking to him for.
Remember when the media asked him questions when Jemi was dating he would always say “Yeah we’re just having fun”. He would always say THAT, “fun”. Demi was always thinking and saying “serious”.
Joe was NOT ready (even though he seem to obviously love Demi) for a serious relationship just a fun one like he is having now.
So maybe he gave in and dated Demi because he didn’t want to hurt her then. BUT he should have just hurt her at THAT time instead of later when he broke it off so abruptly.
Demi would have been fine, I think.
So that is my take on that.Joe is technically not mean or a bad guy or anything but he should have handled the Demi thing better and now the Ashley thing.
As a result things are NOT good between Joe and Demi. Even their friendship has suffered.

Yeah I don’t think that it was a date because AnnaMarie also tweeted earlier “Dinner at Budanken or whatever” the same name as the restaurant that Demi and Travis is at and where Dwayne Wade tweeted as meeting Demi.

My version of the story:
Demi took Joe by surprise, he didn’t think she would have wanted something more that soon.
He hadn’t thought about it, he was happy with the way things were (typical masculin if you ask me). Then he obviously loves her and said: well… I think he was scared Demi would not understand the whole “I feel the same and I want it but not now, in some years”. He was scared she would think he didn’t see her in that way. He probably said yes in order to not loose her: wrong move, really wrong move.
Then they dated and everything which was supposed to be there was and that was the problem: Joe didn’t want all of those things at 21 in his life then they became public and it was too much for him, he probably felt trapped and before doing something really stupid like cheat on her out of pressure he broke up with ther. The situation now is horrible: if he had told Demi in the beginning that the feelings were there but it wasn’t the right time, she would have understood. But he didn’t and now Demi has a broken heart and has to see the guy she is in love with go public with someone else
.I think that it’s in that way that you can tell Joe’s intentions were good: in french we say that the hell’s floor is made of good intentions. The boy wanted to do things right then he ended up doing everything wrong. And right now the only way to have a healthy relationship (of any kind)in the future is to part ways totally for sometime.

2) Ashley comes to the RD games, the concert, and Joe and Ashkey kiss, Demi is pissed and became cold to Joe. Travis visits Demi and 1-2 days after Joe and Demi is back to being even MORE touchy feely and friendly with each other.Jeo is hyper and very happy.
Those two are like a roller coaster.
Did it ever occur to you that Joe is glad that Demi has found someone else? Maybe that’s why he’s more friendly around her. He can feel less guilty now, and they both have someone they’re happy with. I think Travis is good for Demi. And Ashley is good for Joe. Quit making Joe the bad guy all the time. You don’t know what happened. I think you all need to stop thinking that everything they say and do is about each other. Demi is over Joe. Joe was never really into Demi to begin with, and anyone who doesn’t see that is nuts. I’m sure Joe wants her to be happy. When this tour is over, this site is going to be very boring because you will likely never see Joe and Demi together again. They’ll never be the friends they once were, and even before they dated, we never saw them together. I think she will cut all ties with Jonas. They will be leaving Disney. I think Demi needs to distance herself after the tour. Going back to how things were before it’s not wealthy. The message to Joe is: keep doing what you want, you still have me: it won’t change anything. Those two can’t just be friends… even if it’s mentally, it’s impossible.
One double date would be fun: imagine Joe with Ashelye and Demi with a guy on a date? Jaja. Travis was there for Demi when she and Joe broke up, but said nice things about Joe at the time. He is apparently fresh out of an 8 year relationship with someone he thought was the love of his life (she broke up with him) and in the middle of touring. I suspect Demi is returning the favour and trying to be there for him while he gets over Sasha, she seems nice like that.
Whatever is going on with Joe, it is clear that he is much happier around Demi (no awkward) and we should be happy too because there are lots of great Jemi moments. How they feel about each other is for them to resolve, the important thing is they are happy.

Whatever is going on with these two off stage, when they are up on stage they are really enjoying themselves now.
I know some people here think Demi and Joe need to be apart for a while and Demi should not be getting close to Joe again, but love and life don’t always work out like that. If you were Demi (or Joe for that matter) and enjoyed yourself this much around someone why would you walk away and give it up just because something didn’t work out the way you expected it to ? Heartbreak is devastating, but forgiveness and love (not neccessarily the romantic kind) are very powerful.

My Opinion:1) Travis is nice and all but I looked at his tweets about ” getting the world record for misunderstanding the situation” , “wishing he was at the beach” etc.. ( Demi is at VA beach for concert now)

While he has the looks and charisma to get him almost any girl, he also has a fanbase that will scrutinise and criticise her within an inch of her sanity and that (along with his rather crazy personality and hectic lifestyle) is going to make it very hard for him to keep one. Nevertheless he keeps trying, so he must get lonely.
He seriously stuffed up with Demi and we don’t know why, but she has said he has the best of intentions and she is rebuilding their friendship, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Sure he has a lot to learn, but so do most people.
If I truly believed he was the player you make out, I don’t think I could continue to be a JEMI fan.

Yes, it sucks that Demi has to watch Joe and Ashley, but I think that in the end, this is a good thing. After the tour is finished, they will lose contact, because Joe will be spending more time with Ashley, and that way Demi can finally break away from the Jonas Group and can work on her music and acting. She can start to do more mature acting roles, like the one in GA!
I think in the end, Demi never seriously thought about changing the fact that she is always just a secondary character on Jo Bros side, because she loved working with them, especially with Joe. But now she probably feels a bit different, and even though many of you won’t agree, maybe Joe and Ashley make a good couple. I wouldn’t have thought that they would actually last this long, and I’m starting to think that maybe Joe is happy with her. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Jemi, but I don’t think that Joe will change his mind, he said that he cares more about their friendship right now, and it seems like Demi accepted that.
Now that he has Ashley, she can focus on her music and on getting mature acting roles.
If Joe and Ashley last long, then I’m still happy for Joe, maybe it was never a good idea for Joe and Demi to start dating so soon, especially at that point in time.
People were always expecting them to be in love with each other, for 3 years, people were always telling them how perfect they are for each other, and after hearing some things again and again, it can lead you to decisions you regret afterwards.
I think they werent ready to date yet, there was too much drama coming along about PR and Disney and stuff.
We don’t know what’s going on right now, but what we know is that they are both really young, Joe’s 21 and Demi’s 18, at that age you date, and after it ends, you move on and find someone else.
Joe is with Ashley now, Demi could be dating someone too, we wouldn’t know, even though I don’t think she’s dating Travis, but if she would, than I wouldn’t complain,
what I’m trying to say is: it’s their life, and what right do we have to judge their actions? They have their reasons, we can still ship Jemi, because they don’t hate each other, and anything could happen in the future, but right now we have to accept that they go seperate ways!

I haven’t been here for a long time, but I agree on the fact that we shouldn’t waste our time over other people’s problems. I know it is hard to go back to reality and face our own problems, but that’s where we live. We can create our own fairy tale if we focus on it, work hard and think positively.
Anyway, my opinion on Joe and Demi is they are BOTH young and immature. HOWEVER, they are very responsible of their actions and decisions now, because one day it will backfire on them. People might be pointing fingers at Joe and blaming him for hurting Demi which I agree of course, but to be honest Demi is allowing him to get into her space and hurt her every time Miss Ash shows up. See! How many times will she allow this to happen? I mean Joe CAN/WILL leave Ash in a second IF Demi decides to drop her cuteness and act cold with him. You don’t know how much she means to him. For some reason I can tell he’ll always go after her for emotional support. If anything horrible happens to him in the future, he will not rush to The Hot Girlfriend. It will be DEMI (as he always did).
That’s why he cares a lot about their friendship. Never was THIS close to a girl AFTER a breakup. He’ll always make sure she is IN HIS life. That’s the sad truth that all his next GFs SHOULD accept. What’s worse is no matter what, he’ll ALWAYS look at Demi’s body with passion and lust. I mean EVEN when he KNEW Ash was watching (in the 29Aug10Concert), he was UNABLE to keep his eyes of Demi’s legs (when they were both walking down the stairs to move on that catwalk). IMO the sexual attraction IS STILL THERE and will ALWAYS be there. The thing I am afraid of now is….if Demi keeps on allowing him IN her life again and again and again! What will happen if he marries and she’s still there as his “friend”? Will she keep letting him in? Obviously, she is getting used to it NOW and if she keeps doing this, HE will learn to have a Hollywood GF/Wife in his life with her on the side as the “friend” that keeps him emotionally (and…..?) satisfied. She better be careful!
Better act COLD with him NOW than help him develop that habit of having two women in his life. It will hurt at beginning of course, but HE’ll be the FIRST to thank her after ten years from now. PLUS she better stop giving him all her secrets! She should keep some to herself. Let him do the guessing FOREVER. Guys love challenges. Let him have it!

There is so much to this life than dating and finding a boyfriend. She has yet to get over Joe FIRST. Let her focus on her career and deliver an album that will match Selena’s 1st album success. Not sure how true this is, but it makes total sense to me.
thinking about this, Joe strikes me as a guy who enjoys the chase in dating, but isn’t ready for the serious relationship that results. Most of his relationships (including with Demi) have gone south once the girl starts getting serious about him. He likes the early part of dating where you surprise and charm your way into her heart and maybe gets bored once he has won it. I also think he likes a challenge and that’s why he dates famous women. He probably doesn’t set out deliberately to break hearts, but it is the inevitable result of the way he deals with dating. He clearly is naturally very charming and attractive and it has got to be hard to resist for long. If this is his MO I think Camilla deserves a prize for realising it and getting out before Joe reached this point (hopefully she explained it all to Demi when they met before tour).
It looks like Ashley has got his number too, sadly for her she now seems to have reached the “OMJ I’m dating a Jonas” stage – following Joe around/ tweeting about being at his concert – and it is probably only a matter of time before Joe reverts to form and backs off.
Najma’s very insightful comment about Demi being COLD to Joe is probably the best course of action if she wants him as more than a friend in the long run.

If Demi feels the need to distance herself from joe for a long ass time I don’t mind but Jemi are meant to be. Travis is just not going to happen. I don’t think Demi should date at the moment since she’s always afraid of getting her heartbroken again to someone that she might fall in love w/ again. She should just focus on work like she’s said.
