I am a little worried about the fact joe doesnt say a thing about it. I mean Demi confirmed it like 2 times now and on twitter too, plus she gives us hints that she is happy with him. I think when Joe gets the right interviewer like Ellen,Ryan,or jimmy or something that can make the situation funny he will say something he wasn’t exactly interviewed by the big boys yet like Demi lol,His time is coming and I think it’s gonna be good too.
Demi looks hott so pretty ,and the interview was hilarious and you can so tell it’s not for PR she kind of worked her way around it she was so nervous and giggly and you can so tell they have a great foundation too the audience screamed when he asked is she dating joe and she said yeah he’s awesome lol cute.
The only reason she talks about it is because she’s promoting and getting interviewed. Joe isn’t. He’s not gonna go on twitter or call up a radio just to talk about it. Now that it’s out you don’t see her all over twitter like she was before. She just answers the questions that the interviewers ask her.
Joe went out in public with her and didn’t do anything to deny it whatsoever. That’s about all he can do for now because he doesn’t have any other way to do it.

So I’m really excited that they’re going to be on Idol because Hello, JEMI! But in the same time I feel bad/worried for them that they’re going to sing this song in particular. Because lets face it, it’s not the best. It’s a Disney song with really corny lyrics. And it doesn’t suit their voices/range very well. It’s too low for Demi and just plain bad for Joe at some points. Their first performance of it was HORENDOUS but the second one at the Houston Rodeo was better so hopefully they’ll be fine. But performing on live TV always sounds worse than at a show because it picks up every flaws.

I LOVE Selena too. Her songs are very catchy, but I agree that she is not the best singer. Her song becoming platinum comes to show you that you don’t need to have an incredible voice to have hit songs now a days- u just need a catchy beat and catchy lyrics to sell it, which is unfortunate. (like Ke$ha- she’s not a great singer, but her auto-tuned voice and her catchy lyrics sell).
Demi being on American Idol is a great opportunity for her to reach out to another kind of audience across the nation. I love her.
personally i think both demi and selena are great and demi does deserve more attention with her singing but selena’s not that bad, she has a pretty voice but her vocal range just isn’t the best and definitely shouldn’t be compared to demi’s range, what i think is selena can hit high notes but it’s like she need’s the right timing to do them unlike demi where she can hit the notes and sing the song with no hesitations, you can obviously tell when demi sings she doesn’t try to avoid the note even if like there’s a day where her voice isn’t so good, remember the 2nd performance of make a wave with joe(hehe)when the high note at the end comes she messes up but she tried, it’s sad cause selena never seems to give her all to her fans when it comes to singing, it seems like she only gives half of what she can do or she’s just unable to reach the high notes, some people even have said selena sings better then demi, it’s sad demi actually trys. selena only avoids, most of the time she just throws the song to the crowd or just doesn’t hit the note. i adore selena with all my heart but she shouldn’t use her voice like that(belting), that’s something out of her comfort zone, she seriously has to try hard to hit those high notes(she has achieved a few high notes in her album)it’s just something that doesn’t come “naturally” haha see what i did there ok back to the point also if selena isn’t able to reach high notes live why does she try so hard in the studio, if she can’t do the live why make a song so hard, she’s perfectly fine without the high notes and WAIT ok wow sorry i’m going in a whole different direction aren’t i OK lets just skip to the chase, demi’s better then selena in singing and deserves more then her there i made my point XI lol XD

I know somepeople will disagree with my comment but somehow I prefer jemi as friends.They were flirty with each other and had a great chemistry like that. I am afraid that dating will ruin their relationship.If it doesnt work Demi will not be able to stay his friend you know. Something will be broken between them.There s a line which cant be crossed. You never know what happens…we don’t know what will happen in their relationship but I once read this line and I think it totally fits:
“If you wait to do everything until you’re sure it’s right, you’ll probably never do much of anything”
Of course this could end badly, but should they ignore their feelings just for the case that it wouldn’t work out? I once had a really tough time and I learned that you only have one life, and that you really should do what you want to do, no matter what other people say, and that you shouldn’t let opportunities go just because you might fail, or let chances pass by because you’re not sure if it’s right.
Maybe they will break up, and maybe Demi will be broken after it, but maybe it will work out. Maybe they will end up like Danielle and Kevin, we just don’t know!
All I know is, that as long as they want to be together I will stand beside them, because this is their decision, and I’m sure they know what they’re doing.

Ah Thank You! I thought it was such a stupid move as well. And the song does NOT suit her voice as it is too low. It’s easier to hear in the begining, just watch the Houston Rodeo as she struggles to get the notes out on the first line she sings, she’s almost whispering. Once it gets more up tempo and she can show she has the chops to sing high notes it’s fine but before.. Not the best vocals coming from her. And the song is so cheesy and just lame.
I know, I know it’s for a good cause and it’s for a movie blah-blah-blah.. And although the song has grown on me, I still don’t think it’s catchy – which is what it needs to be in order to help us forget about those lyrics.
This is just wrong to propulse the girl on the most watch TV show with THAT damn song. That’s not gonna help her gain a new audience at all, that’s for sure.

I just find it extremly suspicious that – their doing American Idol together, Their doing a radio Disney interview together, Demi’s Bigging up her South American Tour right now on Twitter, the oceans film comes out in a month. It was also suspicious that Demi didnt go to John Lloyd Taylors Birthday dinner last night along with everyone else. I have this massive gut feeling right now that it’s a total fake. Demi kinda looked like she wasnt really into the realtionship on the Jimmy Kimmel show too. She had to think for a while before answering wether Joe liked Death Metal & she also hesitated when he asked her if she was dating Joe. & she was totally promoting the song towards the end.

but why now? Why confirm it now? I dont get it. Explain to me. They confirmed it like 2 days before make a wave premiere,sonny season 2 premiere,then after that make a wave was on itunes,then living the dream premiered sunday,demi announced her tour and now they sing at american idol, do an interview this afternoon. They never did that for send it on. Thats why I am suspicious,the pic on the park seemed staged,joe spent much more time with his friend than with demi and excuse me when you can finally be public with your girlfriend you spend time with her.
They never performed Send It On because they’d have to get all 6 DC stars together at the same time. Do you realize how hard that would be?
Also, that’s not true that you spend every waking moment with your bf/gf. If anything, you should be able to spend time apart. Both of them are filming their shows right now. So they’re really busy. Why would you expect to see them together 24/7.
I understand what everyone was saying earlier that the timing was suspicious. It is extremely likely that Disney is using this to benefit them in the PR area but that doesn’t mean the whole relationship is fake or that the pictures were staged. We’ll never really know but I think Demi could have admitted it on her own and then when Disney found out, they took it to a new level. Demi looked extremely happy in the Jimmy Kimmel interview and Joe hasn’t had any interviews yet. At least wait until we’ve heard from him before you doubt.

I think that pretty much confirms that they is more than just friends there. Demi tweeted that she wouldnt lie to her fans – I believe and trust in her. Why shouldnt we all? Also Demi’s tweets and songs that she has tweeted since like December have been all extremly happy or about falling in love with her best friend. This could confirm that they have been together for a while.They dont tweet to each other anymore – most likely because they want to keep their relationship as private as possible. The Houston Rodeo performance – the way they looked at each other – you cant fake that. And if they were going to carry out a PR stunt they would have done it a loooonggg time ago when it was needed more than it is now. Basically what i’m trying to say is that the evidence towards a real relationship outbalances that towards the fake relationship. So for now just have faith in them and trust what they are saying. Both Demi and Joe have other friends and people besides each other that they can hang out with. One of demi’s friends got in LA yesterday so maybe she decided to spend time with her instead of going to John Taylor’s birthday dinner. It’s not a big deal.
As for the PR thing, that’s part of every celebrity’s life. If they want people to pay attention to their work, they have to put themselves out there. It just so happens that Demi and Joe’s work is connected to their private lives. That’s not their fault. Exactly. There is nowhere else for us to go without seeing hate for Jemi. This is the one place we all have something in common and some of you are ruining that with your doubts. I believe what other people have said is true – were kida scared of believing it because we dont want it to come crashing down. It was a weird time for them to reveal their relationship but many people had already geussed and were starting to question it more because they were spending more time with each other than they had done previously. Interviewers started to question it – i mean when ryan secrest asked if they were buddies or best friends, she said best friends really quickly and defensivly – obvious that something was going on. To be quite honest though if you werein a relationship which meant a great deal to you, and all you could do to spend time together was sit indoors and watch movies or go out with other people and pretend your just friends. Would you like that? No! They most likely wanted to do what every other couple does walk round holding hands and going places together and being open about it. Their old enough now for a relationship and their fans know that their going to date people so why not just admit it?

like rlly, if you guys don’t think she looks happpy in the interview with jimmy kimmel, you guys are sadly mistaken! don’t you see how freaking big she smiles when she hears everyonee cheer. if it waas for pr she would have just been like ‘yupp, i’m dating him…’ with no expression. but she has a HUMONGOUS smile on her facee.

God, why are there doubters? we’ve waited years for them to be together and now many tells that this is just for pr?! One example is this… High School Musical… Zac and vanessa… they dated when they were shooting HSM, and it was very popular… disney don’t do that. why? because the ones mostly watching are children… why would children care if they’re dating or not? they’ll still watch it because they want to, not because the main stars are dating…

Hey guys, Its been a while since I’ve been able to update the site and comment, so please all thank JustEnjoyMyInsanity, JemiUniversity, Bard, or however you refer to him, for taking care of the site as well while I’ve been gone on my trip to Mexico.
Things are definitely big with Jemi recently, and it looks like some of you are taking it the wrong way.
My personal thoughts on this: I dont believe in ANY way Jemi is dating because of PR. At all. We all know they have had feelings for eachother for a long time and I am almost certain they have been in a relationship of some sorts since September. They kept this hush-hush for a very long time, it’s not like they suddenly decided they wanted to date. Also, If i were Joe and Demi’s managers I would use this to my advantage. Just because they are doing interviews after they revealed thy are dating doesnt mean that its for PR, they were probably dating much before, and the first time they were directly asked of dating in a VERY long time was just that recent interview where Demi told the truth and spilled the beans. Demi even ensured it by tweeting right after she would not lie. Plus, they are famous celebrities and famous celebrities need to keep the interest, so using their dating status to get people itnerested in a good cause like Make a Wave is a great way to promote themselves and the song.
Plus, they just released a song together, of course they would have interviews. We got so many Camp Rock interviews, because it was a big release and the media wants some info on it. Of course Jemi will be in lots of performances and interviews, this is a big song for both of them, it’ll even be featured in a major Disney film, “Oceans.” I dont find it suspicious at all, I’m sure every gossip site, magazine, television and radio show in the country and all over the world is BEGGING to interview them now to get the scoop on their relationship. Dont you remember Zanessa? That was definitely not for PR, even though it DEFINITELY helped promote the movies.
Please, please, don’t jump to conclusions and assume this is for PR. You have waited for SO long and now that you have Jemi you are pushing it away. Just my personal opinions, you are all entitled to your own, but if you have already stated you think it is for PR, thank you for sharing, but could you please not continue to express those feelings? People come here for the joy of positive jemi news and we would appreciate if you kept the rest of your thoughts to yourself 🙂 But I 100% dont think this is PR. Its called telling the truth, keeping the media happy, and promoting yourself.
